Would it be rude to ask Dustin about increasing the pay for these .07 HITs? Since it takes far longer (Honestly I had to look up more than half of the .08 anyways and figured that it took roughly a minute or so on average to complete one). Since he's so open to communication I was going to ask him but don't want to sound needy.
If it's taking you a minute or more than either your connection is really slow or you're taking too long. Even on the .08 ones that I had to successively go through, it takes less than a minute to determine if you can find the person and then c/p. I just did one to be sure, and it took me 27 seconds to do one of the .07 ones, with having to click on both sets of links.
Sometimes it can take 20-30 sec, sometimes it can take me 2-3 minutes when I'm just not finding any answers anywhere. There's the option of not finding the executive and I've been trying to hold off on that option as much as possible. It could be that I'm just slow though.
I ended up putting one or two with the "no info found" checkbox and was uneasy about it. But I couldn't find any concrete information about the individual either through a general search or in linkedin.
You'll have to excuse me if this sounds like a rookie question, I'm sure it is. But, is there a penalty in returning too many HITs?
There's no penalty for returned hits, only rejected hits. Once in a blue moon you might see a HIT that says something like HIT return rate % is less than 30 or something. My return rate is 23.5%. I generally return if I'm not comfortable about an answer.
I experienced the same thing. Sometimes I could find the person on the results page, but clicking on the result ended in a page not found or the page changed or the information is there, but I have to have a premium account to see it. There were also instances of people with the same name working for the same company and I couldn't tell exactly which division of the company they worked for.
I do the same thing. Also, I figured they couldn't penalize us for returning them because sometimes we don't know until we have accepted a Hit that we have actually done it before.

While I'll admit that I didn't go nuts on HITs today because of storm cleanup, weekends really do suck. Only $7 made today. :frusty:
It would not be rude! It would be a request... And he has a forum for such requests. http://mturkforum.com/showthread.php?6242-mturk-Intro! Let him know how you feel. Rob
I just need to repeat that this requester has his own sub-forum on this site. If you want a direct answer from the requester, go here: http://mturkforum.com/showthread.php?6242-mturk-Intro!
