Blocked by L2W

I don't remember exactly who they are but I believe I did a survey for them, that I don't remember either the specifics of it. I know I just received the same email about this too. I'm not really a fan of them giving out hard blocks. Would really like to know their reason for this.

 

Amazon tells requesters to use the block feature to prevent duplicates. They then send out these nasty e-mails to workers when the block had nothing to do with quality. I blame Amazon. See for yourselves here how AWS reps encourage the use of blocks for duplicates.

I just get blocked, too. I think I've maybe done one HIT for them. Awesome. :-(

 

I also received the email today. I did one survey for them on May 28 and was approved and paid. Looking at their TO, it seems many people are getting this random block today.

 

I only have received one block by mistake one time before in these three years working on mturk. When survey comet first came around and I done their surveys I got a block in the email. When I contacted them they were sorry for giving a block they just thought they were giving it to me to prevent me from working on their same surveys or duplicates. They removed it and it was all good. I hope this requester does the same thing as this was the same thing that happened then. Unless the requester l2w has another reason for giving out these blocks but I'm assuming with so many blocks to so many people I'm thinking it was to prevent workers.

 

Definitely. The e-mails are only supposed to go out as warning if a requester wants to block due to poor quality. If the requester wanted to prevent duplicates Amazon is in the wrong here for falsely alarming and causing worry to turkers.

 

I just joined this forum because I also received the account warning from mturk saying that l2w has blocked me, and my account may face suspension in future.

and I think due to this I can't find any Hits.

I just got a hard block from them today. I think I did a hit for them a month ago but it wasn't rejected. Anyone know how to contact them or reverse this?

 

And seems there are loads of people who are receiving Hard block emails from this requester today. I remember doing a hit for them for more than a month ago which was approved in a day, not sure why he is hard-blocking everyone. Seems like the requester has gone insane. This is unacceptable. See the TO feedbacks he is receiving for 9th of July.

It is not a hard block, no need to get upset over it. The Amazon system is not working and e-mails are going out unnecessarily. Last week we had a round of this too with l2w and Lozano. This week some people also got notifications from l2w and wharton school.

So is this a technical glitch, will Amazon fix this automatically?

 

I got this today and I haven't had any rejections lately. It was from 12W. What do we do?

 

Don't worry this is just a prevention method to stop workers from doing hit more than one time and it is released when the batch is completed said by a AWS employee.

i am wondering who will take L2W hits and when the hits going to completed. 1 year , 2 year, ....

 

I too blocked by l2w. immediately i withdrawn the money from mturk. They may suspend my account. But my approval percentage is 99.8

 

Did L2W lifted the block for anyone? Some workers told that once the current work posted by him is over, he will lift the block. Any update?

I also got the block from l2w.I complained about the block to the requester("Contact the Requester of this HIT" -search for l2w and use the link).Then the requester unblock me,It was a technical mistake.
You can contact him and complained about the block.The requester will remove it.
