I noticed recently that crowdsurf sometimes labels its regular hits (25 seconds for 10 cents and 15 seconds for 7 cents) as medium priority. I wondered what was going on with that until today when I saw they now have hits labeled low priority (25 seconds for 8 cents and 15 seconds for 6 cents). However, it is not always like that so idk maybe it's just one employee that posts them that way. I have done a lot of hits for crowdsurf even though their pay rate is not the greatest because I absolutely love their video controls and how fast they pay. But seriously the low priority rates work out to 14.40 an audio hour for the 6 cent hits and 11.52 per audio hour for the 8 cent hits. Not so good. I'm hoping though that the new system will allow for more high priority hits as well.
I'm noticing the same today. I also just got my first rejection from them today as well. I'm hoping I really did screw up and it's not a coincidence that they seem to have a new system and I also got my first rejection (out of 1162 submitted to them ever). I also got no feedback on the rejection. I too am also hoping for more high priority hits, as .08 isn't worth the time for a 25 second clip when there are other HITs online.
Yeah, I've been checking randomly throughout the day. I'm only doing the "medium priority" hits and I have seen some "high priority hits" and did those too. If they're low priority for crowdsurf well then they're low priority for me since there is better money to be made. I haven't had anything rejected today so I don't know if they've tightened up regulations or what.
Yes, it was already borderline making roughly $5/hr with them, the 20% drop in pay is a kick in the nuts.
I just posted on the other forum about the lower pay. I get that some of them are low priority but it's taking me over a minute to do some of those 8 cent hits. I type about 80 words a minute usually. I don't know. Not sure it's worth it if the price keeps going down.
Yeah, they take just as long as the 'regular' HITs to finish, which is about 1:15 -1:30 for me. It's just a straight up 20% pay cut. It seems like more workers are in agreement, as the 'low priority' HITs are consistently piling up.
I thought it was just me. Hopefully they go back to normal soon. Does anyone happen to know if CS is out west? Just wondered what their work hours were. Ah well. I've been picking those really quick .02, .04 ones. I've already hit my daily goal but any extra is always good.
Well, at some point all those 'low priority' will have to move up because the deadline is approaching Over 1,250 sitting there now.
I was thinking the same thing, turk it up, they'll eventually be a high priority for crowdsurf. When that happens then they'll be a high priority for me. I accepted one of each of the low priority to check them out, then returned them because there is no difference that I've seen. Makes me happy to see them piling up. Our work is worth more than that. I thought about completing one just so I could message them about the hit to complain about it but I'm not convinced anyone reads those. So I'm going with a straight boycott of the "low pay" oops I mean "low priority" hits.
1700+ now. If you need the work, the 15 second ones are a less bad deal than the 25 second ones. (13% cut vs. 20% cut) I'm pondering doing some just so I can say how the cut is BS after every hit in the comment box.
Hmmm, still haven't figured out how to report that joker but if you click on his username and go to his page there is a link to ignore all of his posts.

I would not be surprised at all if that hit gets rejected. LOL the transcript was good but the comment afterwards might make them mad.
Far more polite than the note that I left, which equated their pay cut to kicking their workers in the genetalia....
They really, really need a report post option on this forum. But anyway, it made me giggle quite a bit to see that crowdsurf moved most of the low priority hits back to medium priority and regular pay. It was kind of irritating that they didn't do this til after 1 a.m. because now it looks like I'll be working most of the night. But still it is good.
Yep, def. time for me to do something else. I was up most of the night doing hits once they went back to medium priority. Looks like the same thing will happen tonight. *Sigh* it's like a reverse shift differential. Oh and there are about 40 medium priority hits up there now but guess what? None of them have audio! Every one that I accepted was blank, but when I previewed the low priority hits those work just fine. Figures.
What a strange way to set up the system, although I'm a night owl and love being able to grab a large chunk of the same lecture. It's like I'm getting paid to take the class
