My son just came home from GA and said he had a good time at Six Flags. They charge $20 or so for parking so they took the public transportation there from where they were staying at. These parks charge enough already and adding parking fees just plain sucks.
So I finally stopped watching Torchwood long enough to get to $20 PE. I always forget how slow Sunday's are. Yup me too, it looks like the owner modified the vBulletin templates to inject code from his ad network. This is only achievable if you have server access. Is there a reason you guys are trying to circumvent his ads from generating revenue btw?
I knew it >.> Btw has anyone done the EdAdapt game survey thing? I tried for an hour and since all the buttons were blurry the hints were useless and i got stuck at the part where you have to combine multiple loops together x.x
The owner hadn't been here for weeks when the popups started so I'm pretty sure he didn't make this on purpose. I googled and there were other forums that had the very same issue.
Basically all the ad pop ups are because someone (owner or someone else) put ad code into the forum to make it that way. Make sense now?
Do you have links to these other vB forum threads with the same issues? I got these popups a long time ago iirc
Hmmm >.> i suppose but it still sounds like a common sense move and i don't see why he would mention it to anyone using the site to be honest since it would just piss people off. As for them all appearing at the same time i dunno. Maybe he owns all of them or maybe they all use the same ad network and the network decided to go about how they do ads differently which would explain it. Anywho >.> don't listen to me. Im a pessimist at heart and always believe the worst lol.
It's old but it describes the same issue like we were having. If you don't have adblock/ublock, it's annoying to the point that it looks like malware. The redirects sometimes will trap you into the website and you have no choice but to click on it to make it go away. I don't care about the ads or banner on top of the forum but not when it interferes with the forum. I never saw this issue long time ago or at anytime. https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/adsense/szfNNkPrkLI
I may be mistaken that it is intentional, after inspecting the source code further and investigating your claim, I found this: http://labs.sucuri.net/?note=2016-09-23 ..leading me to believe that the culprit of the popups is this line in the header template: Code: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://yui.yahooapis.com/combo?2.9.0/build/yuiloader-dom-event/yuiloader-dom-event.js&2.9.0/build/connection/connection-min.js"></script> To eliminate the popups, goto AdminCP --> Styles & Templates --> Style Manager, click Header and delete that line, then click Save & Reload and the popups should disappear from mobile.
Now someone just needs to get the admin to magically appear to do it On the plus side though this will be definite proof if it was intentional or not >.> this is surprisingly entertaining.
Who else. I'm listening to his solutions. Just let Cowfin know so that she can try again. He knows that stuff.
