I found a gas station that had gas for $1.99 yesterday when I went to visit my mother! Perfect timing as I needed gas! Filled it up! It was really jam packed. My area is about $2.33.
Ever use the gasbuddy app? After Hurricane Sandy I had to use that because we had hours long waits for gas and many stations were out of gas too. It was 10 days without power here so it was important to keep gas in your car. The gasbuddy app shows prices, waits, etc., for gas stations in your area.
Or find out if there's a fuel terminal in your town. Like somewhere businesses or the city vehicles fill up. If I'm not traveling, I haven't been to a gas station in years. I just take my key and go to the terminal. They bill me at the end of the month, it's typically .10 - .20 cents cheaper than regular prices.
