I've had trouble finding my motivation. How has the turking been?

 

Not sure but I've been grinding on them all day and I am about burned out. I'm hoping some will be up tomorrow morning, but we will see.

Oh, a really good fruit cake is the best thing ever with a cup a morning coffee. It'a also something most people who cook can't cook at all. At least people who can't cook have an excuse (to terrorize their neighbors and loved ones with the CAKE). There's a trick to it--spare no expense. Lots of spice(it's a dark spice cake) and lots of chunky nuts and fruit--all kinds....And a bit of brandy--just for extra flavor.... Fun Fact: wedding cakes used to always be fruit cakes. That's why it took several men to carry a big one into the wedding hall. And it's why a saved top layer would keep(in the pantry) until the first wedding anniversary...assuming there was one.

 

I had to do a 300-word one a few weeks ago, an unusual amount. I had to tell about something new I had done, so I talked about doing surveys and MT since last April. No problem filling 300 words. I did it in Open Office to get a word count. Then there were 5 other boxes, smaller.

There are others that I just stare at for 15 minutes and return. And the one where they wanted to know about a sexual assault for 10c.

 

Yep, boone, this is why you don't arrive at people's homes unannounced and unexpected--not in Texas. My mother used to keep a loaded shotgun behind the front door. And certainly don't never run across a yard in the dark. You CAN REALLY GET SHOT full of unpleasant metal bits. Property in the Lone Star State is serious business...we still have rustling laws.

Sure, boone, sure--exactly how short are those shorts? And how tight is that tank top? Gotta give the reporters a thrill.....or scare the hell outta them.

I could go out in my Pink Floyd tank top and pretend to be grumpy cat.

 

Trader Joe's came out with one at Christmas that replaced the glazed fruit with chocolate chips. I even bought one, first time ever.

 

Well, I've got enough pandas running to start a Chinese zoo. And getting nothing. Time to read my vampire murder mystery...don't plan on sleeping anyway. Might as well have an excuse. Waitin until the 10 o'clock news so I can see boone hauled away by the cops.
