Verifying my information. Having problems, please help!

    Are you guys from the US? It sounds like the system is messing up again. Several people in the past had trouble verifying information. Amazon seems to not give a flying rats pants about their workers however. As long as the requesters is giving them money, they could care less about your account.

    My account was suspended today, I provided the information required and they just suspended it. What do I do at this point?

    Yes I am from the US.

    How long does it typically take to "verify" the information? I just entered mine late last night and really want it fixed. If I receive an email saying my information can't be verified, should I try calling them then? This is frustrating!

    Here is the email I got from Amazon.

    I only received 1 request to verify my email address and did it the same day they asked me to verify.

    Ok I called amazon. They said something along the lines of whether I lived at my current residence for over a year and I've only been at this residence for 7 months. So I updated them with my old address and am currently waiting to hear back from them. This is very frustrating.

    Hey, Winnersdontsleep, I have been having the exact same problem as you have had since yesterday. They have been unable to verify my address, and I think it is because I have been living at a new address like you. I was wondering what phone number you contacted them at? When I called, they just referred to me to an account specialist, and they have yet to get back to me by email.

    Hey just got an email from Amazon saying my information was verified. Not sure what the problem was but I guess it was fixed with the information I entered! Hope your problem gets fixed also.

    Hey there! I recently started turking (I signed up in 2011 and forgot all about it) I had an email come to me telling me to verify my tax information so I did. While I was there I figured what the heck i'll give it a try so i did for a day got around 10$ and the next day my account was suspended (Tuesday) So I sent an email and they said they couldnt verify my information, the guy in the email told me to email the verification team directly at payment-verification at amazon.com. (Can't post emails) This was after he told me he sent my information to a specialist and that I would hear back in 1-2 business days. Wednesday I emailed them asking what I could send in to help verify who I was. I recently had trouble with opening up my health savings account since I had moved and just happened to have my license, a letter from the IRS with my social security card and my birth certificate scanned into my PC so I sent that along to the payment-verification at amazon.com (Can't post emails) Wednesday night I emailed them asking if there was anymore items I could provide. They told me no and that i should open a second account. I started to do that and my phone went off and i happened to check it. It told me account had been verified. I had to go through support to get the second account shut off.

    I've been following the forum since monday and I figured I would respond if I found something that worked. I hope that works for more than just me.

    Update.

    Got an email asking to fax a statement from the bank/utility bill etc. Will update on what happens next. Hope the rest of you are figuring it out.

    Yeah..... I faxed them 3 different forms of identification 3 days ago through a fax and get this email. I don't own a scanner wtf.

    Well, I emailed them the scanned documents for verification, hopefully this is the answer they've been looking for. I'm very tired of dealing with this.

    Call them. It's the only way. Otherwise you will be getting "form emails" forever that never answer your questions. Try this number: 1-206-266-1000.

    I think I opened my turk account sometime in Sept of last year. But only the past few months I've been really active.
    About a week ago they suspended my account from them not being able to verify my information, but they will not tell me what couldn't be verified. I did move, but it was nearly 3 years ago. I've contacted them several times via email but they are taking their sweet time responding. I did get something back from them today but they didn't give any useful information, so I gotta wait yet again for another email.

    I guess I'll update if anything happens.

    Hey the very first payout i attempted and Amazon Payments asked me to verify with ID and a utility bill etc so my question is will this be adequate?

    1 a screen shot of my amazon turk verified tax information
    2 along with a scan of my passport
    3 and scan of garbage bill [ still inside the envelope addressed to my name and address ]

    faxed to the number provided 800-887-0540
    ??

    I will also attempt to contact them tomorrow at 1-206-266-1000
    since their office hours are apparently
    M-F: 7:30am - 6pm pst

    anyway if anyone has any input please let me know, and if this works ill post to let future turkers with the same problem know this exact resolution worked or not.

    -----------but also my Mturk account and payments account was no longer frozen so before running to scan a FULL Bill instead of just inside the envelope im trying a transfer to bank ill update once i find out if its working or not

    ------------------24 hours later
    about 12 hours after initiating the transfer it already has a Success status on amazon payments, so constantly checking the bank account for any action no go, contacted the bank to see if theres anything pending somewhere in the system, nothing
    contacted amazon at the 206 number they said need to use the call me option on the website i used the call me option and got ahold of a representative for amazon and told her it has a Success status and the bank is not registering anything at all in the system. She said shes contacting her support team to look into it further and contact them in 24hours. I also asked for the number to contact Amazon Payments and was given the number 888-280-3321

    -------- 48 hours from beginning of transfer,
    ACH deposit from amazon shows as pending on the Chase online banking, but the funds are available

    I'm not sure if its the normal processing that did it or having called up

    Also i forgot to mention at some point before the account was unlocked i read on the forum that applying and being rejected for the amazon debit or whichever card helped get your name in their records so i applied for 2 of the amazon cards online so im also not sure if that helped with the process but it seems to be working now so good luck if your reading this your having the same issue hope this helps
