Unfortunately, that's par for the course with requesters these days. This sounds very cynical, but whenever a requester pays well, I always think, "Well, they'll reduce the pay soon."
I say the same and most recent was that crowdfunding req that came in at $2 and I went hambone on them then a week later a buck then masters and not sure what the pay is now.
Also I honestly think that these req's get fucked hard all the time by dbags that make a "spambot" or w/e and they are all "fuck this shit" or w/e then either bail from Turk or drop pay so far nobody wants to touch the work. Sadly it would be so simple for the Monkey in charge at Mturk HQ to eliminate these types of workers but sadly they only seemingly suspen accounts for changing mailing address or CC info instead of chopping off scammers heads.
