I'm not in school anymore, but my hours pick up like crazy when everyone else at my work goes back to school. I should still be able to find some time to turk though. *fingers crossed*
Work on HITS during your lunch break. My morning class, all I do is work on HITS. I finish my work for the day then get straight on the computer!
So I got 1 of these "Determine Webpage Type and Extract Date" hits, my one and only ever for X8. I've seen you all raving about the calendars for days, so I was excited to get this X8. Do these hits have anything to do with qualifying for their "calendar" hits? This hit was pretty easy. I kept re-reading the directions to make sure I understood...
Trust me. I know what you mean. Turking is my main work at home job; it's how I pay most of my bills. When school starts back it gets to be a lot. Fortunately, there seems to be lots more work available then.
No, that HIT is unrelated to the calendar work (it's not really HITs, since you're doing it outside of mturk). There was a one time HIT to qualify for doing the calendars, and you (probably?) won't get another chance to do them until next summer. Also, you aren't missing much by not being able to do the calendars, they're really nothing great, though on a dead day like today it's nice to be able to do. Def. not something worth 'raving' about.
nah, that HIT had nothing to do with the calendar HITs. Don't think he's letting anymore people in that calendar qual anymore. He does typically post small easy batches like this one tho.
Literally no breaks. Monday 10 - 2 Tuesday 8 - 4 Wednesday 12-2 Thursday 8 - 12 and then 2-4 ...Holy shit my classes suck.
I really hope y'all are right about it picking up. Nothing changes for me when school starts except my boyfriend's kids won't be able to spend the night on weeknights. But that's not really a big deal either way. I just want more money. I'll still have a crapton of free time.
Also, how fukking long does it take Wharton to pay out on those baseball bonuses? I know I killed in them and it's been like a week. I don't mind waiting for my bonus I just hope it comes eventually.
Sounds like my first semester. Sometimes I'd have a semester where I had a 2 hour break and would nap my ass off anywhere I could. My last semester was 8a-3p m-f and then class from 5p-10p tu/th. Worked two jobs most of my 8 years at college....15 minute naps and coffee were my best friend in those days. Good luck in college, you'll be done before you know it!
I figured I didn't get any bonuses. I may not have still, because I didn't really remember what I predicted or look at scores that weekend, but it's cool to know there's still a possibility.
This is my.. technically 3rd year. But Ive laxed and lazed so Im essentially a 2nd year with my credits.
If you can, wake up a little earlier and go to sleep a little later. Any work that you have to take home, try to finish it there so you can use that extra time to do some work here.
Whoa, that looks like the same style of layout that my school used. How's that Bb treating you? I spent about 6 years in undergrad to get my BA (effed up a few semesters, probably could have done it in 5 if I didn't have to work and have health issues). Grad program was 3 semesters, but most of that was unpaid internship type things so that sucked. Overall, wouldn't trade my education for the world, just wish it was a bit easier and quicker to get through.
