It's a 10 dollar part that will cost you about $1000 to fix. Your sensor is off in your tank. No big deal except it will cost about 1000 to fix when you factor in labor because in most cars they have to drop the engine and disassemble to get to it. Not worth repairing unless they are already fixing other stuff and have to drop the engine.

I figured as much which is why it's just been driving me crazy for years. Listening to the ding of "low gas" gets old haha. Just weird how it will go months without it happening at all and then do it for an hour straight. Seems to be mostly once the warm weather starts back up too, I haven't noticed it in the winter.
The other day I tried them but some of them presented as a google sign in thing. This one didn't have that.
I'll never find out. Read the TO. 5 stars for pay and all of them say long. Morons. Instruction talk about an hour. LOL, no thanks.
I just did 'em all, none of them had a sign in thing...but then I'm signed in on chrome, so maybe that's it.
Depends on the kind of car. Most 'floaters' sit in the access port underneath the rear seat. remove the rear seat, twist off the plastic cap, replace the sending unit. Boom. Of course, there are always exceptions...
Stay far far far far away from this abomination. Tossed back after like 10th page after first 100% survey.
Yeah, I'm not a mechanic. I was told this when my sensor went out. Would make sense that other cars had it easier.
Ok Thanks! I was trying to find out if I've done it or not. The name sounds familiar but I guess not.
I plan on replacing it with a nitride coated crank from a 2009+ STI. They're only ~$300 from the dealer, so worth it IMO. Fixing and selling shortly afterwards is pretty much what I'm doing with this thing. I like my European cars, so I'll likely sell it and buy a Tiguan or something else AWD. I wish they were offered in the states with a manual transmission
Don't waste your time. THere's a million slides in there too and you can only use each number once. It's bad.

I just did them all and I didn't have any problems, but I'm also signed into Chrome. Didn't know those were up. Thanks guys.
