Yeah I have never dealt with anyone having my car as long as you have, I wouldn't have had it there for 2 weeks because I would have sent it along to someone else before that. Hard to get kids around without a car lol Hope you light a fire under their asses. That's pretty unacceptable.
What is wrong with your cars? My husband is a grease monkey for hobby (he loves rebuilding cars even though I usually hear him out there screaming and cussing) but I've learned a lot in the 10 years we have been together lol Only reason I ask is sometimes shops will take DAYS to fix something that would only take a few hours to do yourself. Or fix something and halfway home your check engine light comes back on.
About ten months ago, I bought a Subaru Legacy GT knowing it had a new motor in it (it was my buddy's car), four months later it spun a rod bearing. It's currently sitting in my garage waiting for me to pull the motor and take things apart. I'm going to go out and buy an engine hoist this weekend to just do it. Needless to say I won't buy another turbo Subaru.

we bought a turbo dodge stratus at an auction one time. It just died in the driveway one morning. Luckily it was just the cylanoid. I hate when you have to rebuild the motor. Husband just rebuilt one in an impala and we're selling it soon as it runs. We bought it wrecked off an auction for 200 bucks and we built the body and completely redid under the hood. Good luck with that motor, make sure the crank shaft is checked and replaced too, otherwise this will keep happening.
Mine, well not sure. Warped rotors. New pads. Won't know until tomorrow, but cars been shaking when I brake so hopefully it's one of those two instead of something worse. My ABS light came on two days ago too, could be wheel speed sensor or worse. But it's off today. So. I dunno. My car has been fairly good to me, I can't complain much. It's a 2003 Grand Caravan with 130k miles and the issues I have had have been a PITA but easy to fix. Radiator hose broke. Boyfriend re-routed it all. Saved 500.00. Leaking transmission fluid everywhere for a while, ended up being my hoses were under a lot of pressure and spraying it all underneath. Easy fix. Hopefully this will be as well!!!! Although one issue I have that drives me CRAZY and no one can tell me why it does this... my gas light will come on and the gauge will go to empty. Then back up. Then back down. Then back up. Some sensor is fucked up or something. Been doing it off and on for years now. Gas cap is always on good. Drives me bonkers. My biggest issue was when the throttle position sensor went. It took 4 different "try this" parts to finally figure out what it was. My car would just randomly stall while at a low idle and it was scary. Stop signs. Lights. Slowing to turn. Backing out of the driveway my car would all of a sudden fly back. Took months to figure it out. BF was telling me to go to the Dodge dealer, but I insisted it would be better to go with the local dudes. The Dodge dealer figured it out in 15min. LOL I was eating crow
