I have never done my own brakes by myself, I'm not really looking to it. I used to go up to my uncle's who was a mechanic, but with him gone, I'm trying to do all this stuff on my own. I think he'd want that (awww, slight salty discharge from eye). But it's fun in a way, and the satisfaction I feel--even just changing my oil--is awesome. I swapped out my fuel pump in January, which involves taking out the entire gas tank for my car. When I fired it up, it was glorious. What's strange is, I've had my car for 11 years this month, and I'm spending more on maintenance now that I'm not driving it much than when I commuted 50 miles a day to work and back. And I don't care. It's the first car I've own all by myself, and I don't know if I can part with it...

My mechanic told me the best thing I can do for my car is to drive it. I was nervous about my 30min trip to Children's on the interstate because I always think I hear all kinds of noises and stuff from my car now lol I don't drive it *too* much. It only has 130k miles on it and is a 2003, so apparently I have been gentle on it. But I'm trying to not fear DRIVING it just because it's getting older and has had issues. The throttle position sensor messing up after my trip to NC just freaked me out. So now I'm afraid to take trips with the kids in this car but... it's not like something is going to happen just because the car is older.

Usually I would do exactly that but we've been fighting over money a lot lately so it's one of those things where I have to decide if I'm going to do what I want to do, or if I'm going to keep the peace. The fact I've been struggling to really earn anything turking is not helping this. I have yet to break $20 in a day. :\ In the end, I'll probably just register for it, honestly. I really want to do it. This will be my first ever 5k and I had made a promise to myself to complete one before my 30th birthday - which is in a week. So it's now or never. Plus the finisher medal is kind of beautiful. lol
...if you can change a fuel pump on your own, changing your brakes will be a breeze. I taught a friend how to do brakes in like 10 minutes.
Decided to hang on to that $125 hit, about a quarter of the way through it. Not terrible at all. Need something to do on this day while it's so dead.

I use Turkmaster and a few scripts that make my page nicer but that's it. I haven't figured out scraper.
The timer is 7 days, no projected from the requester on the hit. So far, I've spent about 2-3 (lazily spent) hours getting the process down. Should work out to about $12-$15/hr when everything is completed.
Ok, well you really need that. Have you installed it and just don't know how to run it? Install it and then go to this link to actually use it. https://www.mturk.com/mturk/findhits?match=true?hit_scraper You will see an increase in your income for sure. I promise.
Just installed it and am watching the tutorial video. Thanks Also, I totally just won the argument with my husband. He said it's obvious this is important for me so as long as I earn back the money in the next week he told me to sign up for it!
