EDIT: I'm quite aware that this probably isn't that special. Still, I put in a lot of hours the past year. Not that that matters, I know. So did a lot of people.

I wonder if its time based. The only thing I can think of for mine was 1.) I'd been turking for over 2 years and 2.) I'd been doing a few long term surveys (1-2 years, monthly) or 3.) It was a way to get me to come back.

 

My God. Just did a "social media" survey that ate up a full hour of my life for three measly dollars.
They said it took half that. The lying little shits.

There have been people who have gotten master's with only 5 or 6 weeks of time on Mturk and under 6000 hits.

 

The last 2 times it was doled out a couple of people reported having less that 2k.
