This Requester has iffy ratings on TO, but only because their pay is very low. I know there are people here who don't mind penny HITs, and also people looking to raise their HIT and approval count. When this Requester pushes a batch, they are often in the hundreds, so it's a good one for that. You can find them when they have HITs posted at https://www.mturk.com/mturk/searchbar?requesterId=A3AKVXFARRH128&selectedSearchType=hitgroups The bulk of the HITs are transcribing names on graves. There is a Qualification test to do their HITs, but anyone who pays attention should be able to pass it. A few things to keep in mind for this HIT. --- All the text should be entered in CAPITAL LETTERS. --- Dates need to be entered in MM DD YYYY format. Therefore, if someone's date of death was April 2, 2012, you'd enter in 04 for the Month, 02 for the Day, and for the year 2012 --- Don't neglect to enter in the eulogy and check off if this is the tomb of a veteran. Those are fields a lot of people skip. --- Don't forget to assign gender. I've done some of the approve/reject HITs for this requester in the past, and there have been batches where every single one, the gender wasn't checked --- They don't block, but if you get too many wrong, they'll remove your Qualification. They also have HITs where you count the number of names on tombs and indicate if an image needs to be rotated, as well as HITs where you can approve/reject. I don't do a lot of their HITs because the pay is very low, but when they have big batches pushed I'll bang out a few here and there as filler HITs if I'm having a hard time finding other work. Something I really like about this Requester is you can see the image before you accept the HIT. So you know if it's worth it or not. Sometimes they've pushed batches where every single grave had two, three, four or more names on the graves, and those I just said, Oh forget it!
Thanks, their HITs from this morning are gone now I see, but they're a good one to add to TurkAlert for when they have a big push.
