Hi, i'm new, and this is only my second day of using Turk, and i'm loving it so far. This board has a lot of great advice, and since i just started this weekend i've read on here that weekends are slower than weekdays. But my question is , are there still a lot of HIT's that get posted at nighttime, or is more a daytime thing? I'm pretty much a night person and work in the evening/early morning. Am i losing out on a lot of potential HITS with this timeframe? Thanks in advance guys, I'm still learning.
I've been working mostly at night since I joined a few weeks ago. I've also noticed that the HITs can get sparce overnight. I'll usually focus on Turking when I wake up in the afternoon. I keep an eye on it overnight, but have found that it's more productive for me to concentrate on my other projects during the wee hours unless something really good shows up here.
The reason for this is... A lot of requesters are companies and institutions, and thus are sleeping during normal night hours. Posting batches during 9-5 work day.
Agreed. But to the asker, take your time zone into consideration when thinking "9-5". My favorite big paying requester is PST and posts most hits shortly before they leave for the day that get snatched up fast. Their 5 pm = 7pm for me.
I think it's sporadic! I've been up all night before and bring in a ton of money and then some nights it's slow. But this is also true of the days. There are days you can bring in quite a few dollars then some days are slow! So it depends. I think it's just the luck of the draw...Just whenever the requester is working and remember not everyone is on the same time zone! In one area it may be day yet night at others!
I did it during the daytime today and the only thing i can conclude is that there were more surveys that popped up for decent money than i've seen at night, but thats not a very scientific study, being one day and all.
