Just curious, are you able to communicate with other ocmps easily? I send them emails and they never respond and I have a few questions for another ocmp account
Unfortunately, no. OCMP is an umbrella and while we all have the same back-end strategy, how we relate to workers can vary some. I wish I could help!
As of this post, I am no longer accepting worker IDs and will be clearing out workers with the qual who have yet to submit work to clean out the pool a little bit.
Nope. Also, I haven't issued any quals today, but am maintaining a list of IDs I will issue the qual to on Thursday.
Apparently I received the qual on March 16th and never realized. (I got an email about qual assigned this morning and since then was working on the HITs whenever they were available to work on) If I knew I would have worked on them whenever possible. Could I get bumped back to 80? I've done almost 30 of your hits just today, whenever I saw the HITs I was working on them.
No problem. I'm started to worry that my messages to workers didn't go through - with the lowering of the qual score should have been a message about messaging me if you want your score back. Go ahead and send me your worker Id so I can fix it.
WHEW!!! I just started working on your hits today.. only have done a total of 20 for you. When I got the email lowering my qual I was worried I made a mistake lol. Looking forward to Thursday!
Have no fear - but you should pm me your ID again as I see there was a flaw in my thinking; that is, I must have added folks to the qual since the last batch so they naturally only have a few hits. I didn't think about that group because I'm a chronic dumbass.
Your message did come through. I received two emails from mturk, one was the message, one was the actual qual lowering.
Rather than chronic dumbass, I would say human. Now, did the homepage HITs get pulled? Got a queue full of 'em that say "Task not available".
TO THOSE EXPERIENCING QUAL CONFUSION: I see the problem now. Though I typed up a lovely note to go with each of the lowered qualification scores, it seems that none of my messages to workers from the requester account are going through. This means a lot of you are getting decreased quals and going "wtf did I do wrong?" when the answer is NOTHING, as would have been explained in the accompanying message. So, yikes!!! We're looking into why my messages aren't going out; in the meantime I'm responding via email where possible.
Just to clarify, this is the message I received from the requester account: "Hello. I'm editing the qualification system in order to provide the best work for the most active works. As a result, I'm removing all folks who have either done fewer than 50 HITs or have not done a HIT in any of the last four batches. Because of this, you will notice a change in your qualification score. Should you wish to take up ocmp34 HITs again, feel free to message me - this change in score need not be permanent."

Mine was not wrongly lol, I am just glad I didnt mess up. I am new and have absolutely no issue letting the veterans get first dibs on these next few batches
