Yep, I just grabbed 25 of those HITS like a minute after I sent him my ID but he is supposed to be at lunch so i'm sure I haven't been qualled yet?

 

I hate to be that guy, but the homepage URL HITs are pretty underpaid. $.04 per URL is pretty low for the work that needs to be done since for many of them you have to visit the page to figure out the type of organization.

 

Yeah this could be very bad for him 30 sec auto accept time with no qual unfortunately means some bad people are going to spam him. Hoping he can fix it soon before he loses too much money.

 

I just do not understand why people would want to screw up a good thing. Is quick money now really worth no money later? Especially with a good qualification potential from a good requester. Hopefully he can get this whole thing figured out. I see about 600 of these things up. I suppose those of us willing to do it right could at least show up the scammers.

 

I don't think any of us would but there are tens on thousands of workers on mturk

 

Is anyone having much luck finding the donor lists? I have only found a handful, don't want to screw these up and I am hating marking N/A.

 

No worries I just wanted to bring it to his attention as I don't think that is how he intended his hits to be

 

A lot of times you'll find only ways to donate. Try Google for company name + honor roll sometimes you'll find from that

 

I've not had a ton of luck with the hospitals I've come across or their foundations, but normal nonprofits have been better.

 

Eh. These are a lot lower-paying than most of the OCMP hits I've done.

 

I don't know whether to do them or not. I don't want to be the one to cost him money if he doesn't use the data but I if he is I'd rather it come from someone he wanted it to come from.

 

So, uh, I did one curated hit qualification (1/1). Do I need to wait for 2 different qualifications or can I safely leave the house now?

 

I do not doubt that the people posting here would not scam him. We know the value of a good qualification. Unfortunately there are lurkers here, and randoms in mturk, that do not have the same thought process.

I have been having a hard time finding donor lists for hospitals too. I have submitted some and returned other. I am to skittish yet with this qual to want to risk an n/a when it really is there SOMEwhere.

 

He should attach at least one of the quals he gave out to ensure not just anyone is grabbing the hits

 

There are a thousand up now. I am wondering if he managed to get them changed over? I know I have lowered my pandas grab speed to 1 minute. At the moment I cannot do these at a minute unless the donor list is somewhere obvious.

 

... and are these 2 batches what all the hype was about? Is there anything better coming for the curated workforce?

I'm not finding a lot of donor lists either, especially with the hospitals, and that seems to be all I am getting. I hate turning in N/A!!

 

I'm not too sure about all these N/A's seems awfully hard to find a list most of the time.
