    Hi everyone,

My research group is conducting a study and are using AMT to collect workers' evaluations of news media bias. We will be adding thousands of HITs of this type, and are open to feedback about how to make these tasks valuable for workers.

Note that there are many HITs that contain duplicate articles, meaning that for many of the HITs you will have already read one or both of the news articles presented to you. This means that completion times will vary and as you complete HITs of this type, completion times should generally decrease. Additionally, the length of the news articles will vary, which will also impact completion times.

    Title: News Article Bias Evaluation
    Requester: William West [AVSS3NMRITTDU]
Description: Given two articles about the same news story, read the articles and answer questions about the relative amount of bias in each article.
    Reward: $0.40
Qualifications: Location is US, Custom Qual Test: qualificationId=23F25L8I9NZZK4YTR7540W7T87QJTA

If you have any feedback, feel free to post a reply.

    Thanks!

Since you are using a custom qual, does it need to be US only? Any chance of opening the HIT up to Canadians?

There are going to be many articles that discuss US politics specifically, so we would like to limit the pool of subjects to only those living in the US. While it is possible that someone outside of the US follows US politics, it makes more sense for us to just limit the pool to those living there.
