What it looks like to me is a real customer care email that has been altered. Perhaps part of it is true, and others are not. Either way... sorry buddy.
Yes, the first one was a copied, pasted, edited version of an actual support request. The headers are from an actual ticket. There are key differences though. One has been pointed out but I can see one more. The other is easily "fixed" so I won't mention it for future arrempts.
Does it make them tons of money? I meant improvements for their customers really not necessarily so much for us.
It obviously makes them enough that they don't feel the need to make any improvements. Improvements are rarely a sign that things are going *well*.
FWIW, they "launched some new functionality" on the requester side recently (according to one of their replies in the developer forum). I don't know the details (I'm not a requester) so I can't say whether those changes would be considered "improvements" or not. ;-) ;-)
