Thank you for all of the info! I'm hooked on these after reading about them for the last couple of days, I finally decided to give them a try and they are surprisingly easy.
yea i love these.. and it seems this batch it is very easy to find the e-mails.. i really think it depends on the state the schools are in.. some seem much more difficult.. make money folks!!!
no problem.. as long as you hang in there thats all that matters! plus i am sure after awhile you will get the hang of it and get into your groove
i did just over 500.. im with ya fried eyes and brain and fingers galore!!! i just can't believe they were all completed that fast!! i bet it has a lot to do with the fact oversees workers can do them too, they are not just limited to the U.S.. thats so awesome that so many people had a chance to make some money
I thought the exact same way as chuck did and returned all the HITs where I couldn't find an email. There would definitely be someone with better Google skills than I have who can possibly find the email. The e-mail doesn't showing up in the search doesn't mean it's not found. Google can only give you results for the query terms you search for. I alter the queries 4 or 5 times. In 95% cases, I could find it in the second or third alteration. But if they still couldn't be found after 5 searches, I mostly return the HIT with the exception of 1 case, the one and only case where I put n/a. That is when I happen to find a contact form for the person. Correct me if I'm wrong but this is the theory. If an institution decides to have a contact form for all its employees, then that will be for a reason. And the reason is to conceal the actual email. Since they themselves are not willing to expose the email, it is less likely that even a Google-fu searcher will find it. This is the only case where I put N/A. I am saying again, I might be wrong. I loved them too and it's really awesome they didn't limited it to the US. Kudos to all the turkers who previously did them. Keep up the good work guyz. No one would be dumb enough to invest another $6200 in a system if they hadn't got quality results in the earlier batch of $3000.
I have also found it after 3 or 4 attempts. sometimes the search method has to be changed.. and yes having a contact form is a way to hide their e-mail for whatever reason.. but sometimes even those you can crack the e-mail. I just don't see the point to return a hit just because an e-mail is not found and there is no form.. many sites have just 1 generic e-mail to send info to. So if n/a is an option I am going to use it. There is another requester on here with lots of hits that there is no n/a option you must find the e-mail or return the hit, those will be great for super searchers
Just because an e-mail was not found it doesn't mean they were screwed. I have e-mailed them a few times and they understand not all the e-mails will be found. It is also possible that this may be part of a bigger project where they are filtering results for something else.
not from yesterdays batch.. the approval times have varied each batch. first batch it was 7 days, second was 5 days, third was next day.. so we will have to wait and see how long on this one
One thing I'd like this requester to add would be a text box for comments or corrections. I found a number of the HITs have incorrect names or titles, or sometimes other wrong information. Because I am either a very conscientious worker or a very anal retentive one, I then had to go to my list of submitted HITs and type a separate message with the correction, which messed up my groove.
