Until I had kids, people assumed I was a barely 18. I got them Highlander genes too. I still ALWAYS get carded at new spots. Definitely wouldn't guess 31, but as I approach 30, I could also be in denial.
Today has been freakin' awful. The first part of the day was actually pretty good for me - much better than usual for a Saturday and I was really hopeful - but then it just STOPPED. I haven't done a HIT in hours - literally. And now my computer and/or internet is (are) being a dick(s) and I'm not sure I'd be able to get a HIT done even if one jumped up and bit me on the ass. Seriously thinking about just unplugging for the night, going to bed, and getting up early and getting a fresh start in the morning.

Whenever I'm clean shaven I get misjudged on my age a lot. Last time I was in the gym renewing my membership, the owner looked at my info and said "OK, so that's you, your wife, and...that's your little brother that comes in with you, right?" (it was my son). I was all like, ...but he was a dude, so it was kinda awkward.
Nothing inherently awkward about that! It's only awkward if the guy doesn't go to the trouble to let you down easy. Personally I don't require much in the way of a verbal denial, just a firm "Good hustle" pat on the ass to sort of guide you toward greener pastures.
TIL: my kid is so cool and i swell with pride faster than butter melts on asphalt in 100 degree weather. We were reading "Goodnight Michigan" before bed, and she was pointing at all the things going "Oh, what's that...what's that..." We turn to the page that has MSU and UofM on the football field, she points and goes "THAT'S FOOTBALL! GO IRISH! TOUCHDOWN!"
