Okay, whenever I click "View a HIT in this group" it takes me to my account/earnings. At the top of the page in a yellow box it says "There are no hits available for you at this time. Please try again tomorrow." Does anyone know why this is popping up? I am a newbie, sorry if it's a frequent question.
You're in your initial 10-day period. Your limit is accepting 100 HITs for the first ten active days for working on mturk. Each day you complete one HIT counts towards your 10 active day requirement.
I think sometimes it can be a glitch in mturk, or it does something similar if you have a "soft block" (a friendly sort of block - nothing to worry about) from the requester for that batch?

the only reason i think it's the initial 10 day thing is because of the screen they're taken to when they try to accept...? i'm not sure. i honestly went with the "newbie" option out of habit.
I get that message all the time Athena- Its when they are all gone,lol. It just means- the HITS are gone. I click a lot of hits when they first pop up and see that a lot as they were already taken. I do venue quality a lot but they are like redwood- It says they are so many still available when there is not.
I get that when the batch is all gone, too, and then it makes sense. But in the link above, I get the message always, and it's a batch of hundreds that have just been sitting there for days. I'm thinking I might have been soft blocked from them (just that batch...I do other tasks for the requester and get approved quickly, etc.)
It always says 542- Now and again it will say a different number- But most of the time it says that- I can sometimes get 1-3 of these right when they pop up in newest HITS- Then gone! I don't do them too much because they say they will block you,lol. And some venues I get nervous on- So I only do a couple if I am desperate,LOL! Did you ever work for them a lot? I think they are just gone. I get the same most of the time and only 1 or 2 once in a great while when I am refreshing constantly on the wekeends,lol!
I have them on turkalert and do the "are these venues the same" ones all the time. And yeah, THOSE really do run out. It's the "family friendly" ones that just sit there (and I did a lot of those before they became foreign language...that's when I think the requester locked them down or....something.)
It's where a requester can keep you from working on a HIT without it being for a "poor work" reason. It doesn't reflect badly on you to Amazon or anything negative like that.
Ooo.. I hate those ones I never see them often. So many are foreign. I would rather eat nails then do them,LOL!
During your first 10 days you can do 100 hits per day. So essentially, you could have 1000 hits during your ten days. However, remember that any you accept and return for whatever reason will be counted against your 100 a day limit.
^ Nice, that makes a lot more sense. I'm not breaking any records over here and I was on pace to hit 100 in like my first 5 days.
Yeah, thanks for the reply earlier. As I said in another thread, I'm really surprised about how helpful everyone is on here. I haven't seen a troll yet.. My faith in the online community is slowly building!
