If they don't even know about this place, should someone email them and let them know this is the new spot for turkers?

As in Crowd Source? I'd rather keep their bullshit as far away from me as possible. The only thing their editor hour has ever been good for is a new shiny nickel.

Personally I don't think I'd post as much if requesters hung out here. Too easy to link me to my mTurk account and slap me and my big fat mouth with a big fat ban.

Eh trust me booty.... those at CS/Juggle know who I am and my worker id and have never even given me as much as a rejection.

They may not like the truth I used to spurt at them on TN but it is still the truth and they can't argue it.

C-FLOWER (aka Dolores labs) is the ultimate evil, often paying $2 an hour or less.

Midwest Internet/Crowd-SOURCE aims to pay people at least $7.50 an hour.

Names sound the same nowadays, but the companies are very, very, very different.

I've never been to the editor hour booty, but I went to their chat about the phone inquiries. Which was stupid, they gave us a qualification to call a business... Then the next day posted like 10 HITs and never posted it again... They have it up every weekday for like two weeks with 100-300 HITs.

Brilliant move. Give us all a qualification, pay us a nickel for their chat hour. GO TO the chat hour, tell us a bunch of junk that didn't help at all, then never post the HIT again.

The problems is Athena that it is more then the name that sounds the same nowadays. Midwest used to be a GREAT requester when they were mainly writing hits! However, since they have changed to CrowdSource and started with all the little crap hits they have become no better then CrowdFlower. As for the $7.50/hr... tell me... can you make anywhere near that on the

"Help Us Find a URL's Search Results Page Ranking on Google"
"Keyword Search - Quick and Simple!"

    or

    "Research Keyword and Answer Question"

which are the majority of hits they have anymore? Sure, they give us a few nuggets of writing hits just to keep us interested anymore but those are just scraps compared to what they used o be and they don't pay as well either.

There is the difference hun... I can do that in a day.

Ummm what? If you are making $12/hr off those little CS piddle hits then more power to you! No worries, I will leave them all for you as I can't make shit on those piddle hits.

With TN banning people left and right, I would like to see more requesters, including CS, post here. Communication with requesters is one of the reasons I still value my TN account.

Yes, I was very upset when those HITs went down, because I had just figured out a method that was earning $10-12 per hour off the judge the sentiment of the author ones. Mostly there aren't great ones from CS, but usually they are good for a good job.

The old call a business were steady 6-9 an hour, but few were up. The sentiment of an author were good if your a fast reader and you know your tech gear well. Was easy to spot sentiments for my beloved electronics :p

And waaaaay back when I made $30 in like 5 minutes off them. It's when they had all those car reviews, they also had some to post electronics reviews. I had a lot of electronics to review :)

Plus, i've never had a single rejection from CS. THAT more than anything is why I love them. Especially if you're doing hundreds of HITs, you can make mistakes, they seem to turn a blind eye to that if your accuracy is high.

I have to admit I still have a little bit of love for CS, even though the good times we had are now over. It sounds like I'm talking about an ex boyfriend, doesn't it? lol

Really though, the sentiment hits were an improvement over what they have been offering lately. I even got to edit some articles this week, something I haven't seen in a long time. But I'm not holding out on them coming back full force. I mostly work for other requesters now since I have to pay the bills and all.

See, I still have affection for Sammy, who I think does "worker relations" at CS/Midwest still. I got (PMed admin at TN to create) Midwest their own subforum at TN. I was there from the very, very beginning with Midwest.

I really honestly think Sammy is a good person who does NOT want to squeeze workers for every cent. She has said multiple times on the CS blog that they try to pay workers around minimum wage.

Stuff is complicated. I don't give CS as a company the benefit of the doubt nowadays, but I do give Sammy the benefit of the doubt.

I do want her to post here and feel comfortable posting here. I might be naive, but I think she really cares about workers.

It sucks because one of my favorite requesters recruited people only through TN. So I purposely registered with a completely different username here. Not that I tend to say things that rock the boat, but I get the impression if I don't follow TN rules even when I'm not on TN turf I could get banned. Maybe I'm paranoid.

I have not been with CS as long as you, but I do remember her communication with workers. She was very nice.

Oh Sammie was great! Especially when it was still Midwest. Like you though, I am not really sure about CS (Juggle.com) as a whole though. They have gone way down hill since the good old Midwest days.

You know, if you're email friendly with a requester, you could direct them here, and TN admin would probably never know.

    Just sayin'.
