I just went to do a HIT from crowdflower and it said I could not because I was flagged for inaccuracy. Since I did it with no problem I went in to see and I'm not the only one. This royally pisses me off because no matter what I do with crowdflower, the answers are not wrong but they say they are. For the transcribing, it will flag and say it's wrong and then tell me the correct version which is word for word, punctuation for punctuation, caps for caps, the EXACT SAME! Then the flag for inappropriate content? It wouldn't take it because it said one of them should be flagged and I didn't. What was the picture of? A landscape of mountains. WTF? I'm done with crowdflower. They absolutely suck.
Boy, you must really be new to turking. Crowdflower doesn't just suck: they're the mturk gold standard of suckiness, for all the reasons you mentioned and a few more besides. Like their dogshit pay rates. The good news is, not all requesters are that bad. Install Turkopticon and start getting pickier about who you work for, and your desire to tear your hair out by the fistful will gradually wane... at least a little.
