I like the bang for the buck. (My wife has a much less powerful AMD APU in her laptop, and its graphic performance beats my desktop). Too bad about the Windows 8. ;-)
I went over this. Doesn't matter too much if you do it right or not, they could screw you because of a mistake on their side. Happened to me on 4 of them. I message them, they reset my qual count back to 0/20 (from 13/20, thanks! Not.), and I get to go through more screwy HITs. They probably will respond to you, but you might lose all your progress. At this point, I'd just let it slide.
Nothing, probably. Is the box highlighting that green? The dropdown might be red but the background of the text should be green in that case. Anyway, I'd rather just play whack-a-mole with foreign sodas for 50% of the pay and 5% of the effort.
nah, all of it was red. i missed your posts because i only read turkingbear. i only got five and each of them had a stupid error like this so i'd rather have it reset, though.
Not a fan of money? They're not bringing the qual HITs back most likely, you probably won't do better the next time around, and it's a crapshot. Go for it but you're not getting a qual unless you get in at least ~15/20. First thing I do when I see a qual batch: Hoard them all.
Title: How Our Personality, Life Events, and Memory Capacities Influence Decisions (earn up to $1.00 extra as a bonus) Requester: Joshua Reynolds [A31MHZOJPCRTQ7] (TO) TO Ratings: ***** 0.00 Communicativity ***** 1.00 Generosity ***** 0.00 Fairness ***** 0.00 Promptness Number of Reviews: 1 (Submit a new TO rating for this requester) Description: This study (appx. 1 hour) consists of completing some questionnaires, reading an article, and playing a game. Compensation is $0.50 plus up to $1.00 extra on the game. Reward: $0.50 Qualifications: None Thin TO. ------- 20 minutes, but it seemed a lot longer. :-(
The one TO is funny. I sincerely hope he didn't sit through the full 20 minutes for his dime. I get the whole "point of no return" mindset, but if I'm doing a survey for a dime and I pass three minutes it usually ends in a return.
Message them through the official AMT method, they actually responded to me when I did that today. Well, I sent a laundry list of issues in 2 or 3 messages and they responded to one of my messages.
I guess returning one does no good. It appears they track how many you've done anyway. Screwed one up and thought, I'll return it. lol
This is completely random, but does anyone wonder what's going to happen to society when almost everything is automated by robots and computers? Some things never will be automated, but many fast food jobs can be (and already are in Japan), retail - self-checkout, Apple replacing 500,000 workers with robots and maybe 50,000 managers/technicians to supervise/fix them. Self-driving cars already exist - what's to stop a self-driving taxi where you swipe a card when you get in, tell it where to go, and boom? Anything, really. I'd guess that 20% of jobs could be automated. In a socialist society, everyone would work less hours, costs would drop, and people would get paid the same, if not a bit more. In a capitalist society... 30% unemployment? This is all conjecture but we're really not too far away, and it's already happening. edit: Disclaimer: All percentages listed here are complete BS. Just throwing out my guess of something feasible.
