Do they get all into it with costumes and stuff? I don't think I'd be in if there were costumes. If it was super heroes I'd would be but I can't see myself ever dressing like an elf or dwarf or whatever..

 

yeah there are some **** dms. I'm a more lenient one. I allow players to do whatever they want, but there will be consequences for their actions. Create an OP tank? sure. I'll just have some OP enemy 1v1 you. I wouldn't let one person's decision ruin the rest of the party.

We never dressed up. I might of worn a pokemon shirt once a while, but we used our imaginations.

 

Jesus no. He'd still be single living w/ his mommy if they did costumes. (No offense to those of you who may dress up to play RPGs, but that's not just what I find attractive in a mate.)

 

Does the worst-case calculator assume you're a big whiner that will get 10% of rejects overturned?

Oh and for the record, if anyone remembers me whining about 1 Brelig rejection... he changed it to an accept even though I was wrong. See? Not terrible guy. Ignoring the $1.50/hour pay..

Yep our DM had it where our decisions affected the group. I mean I could see that being ok, once the rest of us got used to playing. I mean it was kind of funny when it happened, and he would be a bit lenient on letting ALL of us die, but yeah, a few of us would get taken out in the process.

 

FWIW, I have way more happily married friends who LARP than friends who don't. Like, to the point where I don't even really see that crowd anymore, because they're too busy taking care of their preposterously amazing kids.

 

We took my niece to Great Adventure last weekend and they had these cool super hero capes. I wanted to get one for my niece (and myself) so bad but my brother wouldn't let me. They had Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Batgirl (that was a disappointment,wrong colors) and the Green Lantern... wtf


Every time someone walked by me with that green cape I'd say the green lantern doesn't have a cape which lessened my annoyance a bit. This wasn't an Alan Scott cape this was a take Hal Jordan and slap a cape on him look. NO JUST NO.

 

If you like costumes and roleplaying you gotta go to a Renaissance / Medieval Fair if you get the chance. I just went for the first time this summer and it was a blast. A smidge touristy but nothing like the typical carnival or amusement park.

How do I tell the difference? Cant accept any of his hits. Says he has chosen you to not do any of his hits or something of the sort.

 

Also, there was a class on campus (oddly popular) that was basically LARPing. I wanted to try but it was always full.
