approval for what though? he's in his second term now. Our economy is on the verge of recovering since 2008 and everything has been for the most part been going positive for us as a country. I dont understand why he or congress need to get involved with another country. Not to start party wars or anything, but even republicans are in favor of this too

Im not sure. I dont have any particular stance on the issue. Obviously chemical weapons are bad and need to be rid of, but we really dont know what we are getting into. Like I said a few days ago, this could very well be the onset of WW3 as we know it.
