I opened the front door w/camera in hand, it flew away. :-/ . Luckily not in my direction.

 

They fascinate me. A few years ago some guy set up some cameras in his yard and inside an owl house where there was a nest with eggs. I used to go to the site all the time to watch the eggs hatch and then the babies grow big enough to leave. It was really cool.

I'm both fascinated and somewhat afraid of owls. Same thing for sharks... and tigers

Nope. I think they captured it. I was just google image searching. Someone mentioned turning it to a nice trophy head
