    The Social Mind
    Requester: Ellis Melnikoff
    Time Allotted: 27 minutes
    Reward: $0.60

Interesting and a bit different. Took me 16 minutes, but as I've said many times before, I'm SLOW. Heck, my trusty spaniel, Toby, could have taken it quicker.

Edit: Forgot to mention it uses the Inquisit software, which is java based. Worked fine on my IE.

By invitation only, so who knows if they only gave quals to those that have worked for them before and done well.

Hope everybody had a productive day. I stayed away after the reject I woke up to this morning. Any good batches right now?

    Survey Discussions

    Just a Reminder Everyone...

It is NOT okay to discuss anything about ANY survey or study other than basically that it is available, how long it took, whether it was worth doing, what the TO is, whether you got paid / rejected, etc.

Any content of ANY study or survey, even the most mundane detail, is simply not allowed.

We hate to be hard on the issue but most of these are being done by graduate students with very limited budgets coming to us as Turkers to get unbiased data. Any discussion of ANY detail of the survey or study runs the risk of corrupting that data.

The community can not and will not be a part of that process that has the potential of requiring these excellent jobs from being posted for us.

This is not directed at any particular person or post - just a reminder... :D

    I hope you understand.

    Thanks!

The TO mentions software you need to download, so I didn't try it. If you have to download software, that's a bad sign.

This is a clone of the David Melnikoff stuff, it used Inquisit, which is commonly used.

Why can't all surveys be like the $5 one?

It was just that Inquisit (I think that's what it was called) stuff. It wasn't a problem.

This one turk I did with Java freaked me out with some of the content, s'all I'm gonna say.

These advertisement ratings are really making me re-evaluate my opinion of crowdflower! Just did 50 in maybe 10 minutes.

How long does it take CrowdFlower to reset the amount of hits you can do of a certain type? Or does it forever?

My opinion? If so no, more positive. I never really enjoyed their hits, something about the interface. Everything always seemed overly complex.

I'm sure it was posted at some point but Requester: 11223344 has a nice batch for those of you with the qual. Been skipping through some of the garbage but enough there to make a nice chunck.
