The pay isn't amazing but I do appreciate the huge batches! Especially because they keep me working when things get slow. ;)

But when someone does bogus work, even if it gets rejected, the requester has to go through all their work find out what is good and what is not. And then has to repost all the hits again. So it costs the requester time and effort, which equal money.

Stop getting in an argument of semantics, you are just being petty and childish it seems.

The rejection system doesn't any good when you have 50,000 Hits posted and an Auto-Approval of one-two days. Could you grade 50,000 hits in one day? People know these requester's can't grade that many hits in one day. Thus, when people type "lkasdf" in a box, that is swindling considering the fact that you were or are intending on receiving money from someone for typing "ljasdflj". And this isn't the first requester that it's happen to, I recieved an email from DW before he cut out a lot of people, and another email before that. I think the future of Mturk is going to be limited to workers submitting a certain quality of work.

    Sure you're right.

My point is there are built in defenses against "scammers" - 100 maximum HITs for 10 days, soft blocks, hard blocks, etc.

    That's one approach.

But, what is troubling is the non-stop increase in requirements that just happen occur after a certain someone (or certain someone's who aren't such braggers) works over the requester. Are batch HITs that complicated that it takes lebendy billion HITs with -257 rejections to do them? Or an "elite team"? No, of course not. That's where requesters are getting scammed.

Not sure about a "really good" TO. Seems as if he's fairly new, and only has paid two people. Seems legit though. If you only see two reviews on Turk Opticon, make sure you always do a further investigation and investigate who left the reviews. Make sure the people who left the reviews are valuable resources. Requesters also have easy access to Turk Opticon.

I have done so many of these. I look at them as easy money when I don't have anything "interesting" to do. It takes 9 minutes but it feels like 9 hours!! :D

Good point! I hadn't noticed that it was only 2 reviews. I'll cross everything hoping he pays out!

Would you like a copy of my email logs, I'll be happy to send them to you. ;) I don't get special privileges by "Working over" a requester. I get special privileges by "Working Over" myself. When your logging 120+ hours a week of dedicated and accurate work then you earn special privileges. Just like the Masters Qualification, some people do 20-30,000 hits and all of a sudden they deserve the masters? Work for it! When I came around the Masters was given to a select few people, with 4-5 times the amount of work that some people have. But they expect it to be given, just like everything else. If you work hard enough at something, you can get anything you want with a little dedication and motive.

I worked 25 hours straight on the DW Hits. ;) I normally work 17-18 hours a day which is equivalent to 125 hours a week. That's on an average week. I'm sure I'll have much more then that this week as long as I get off the forum. I just have no motivation after DW. :/

By the way my alarm clock goes off at 2 a.m., I've been waking up at those hours for years and years now. And usually done drank a whole pot of coffee before most people are waking up. So to answer your question, that is the secret. It's called DEDICATION and not being LAZY.

Even though I shouldn't have to, I'd be happy to give some "adults" a wake up call every morning to start Turking.
