I know this is a good paying HIT and all but I want to state (like I did yesterday, in the HITs thread) that this HIT is clearly against MTurk's policies. You can't get pissed off at scammy requesters who show up (or complain about the batches of craptastic and rule breaking Crowdflower survey HITs that are up) when you demonstrate that for the right amount of money, you'll happily perform HITs that are against the TOS. Might make me unpopular, but I had to say it.
Interesting and easy survey, but you have to register with your email so they can send reminders about your other "visits". There are 8 pages of questions and it took me about 18 minutes. Be careful, because the red CONTINUE and CANCEL buttons are right next to each other!

there was one page yall did skip right? the first one that asked you to put how many times the event happened to you, and the page after that was a repeat...? sigh.. that's why my stress level is what it is :/
No the second page that looked the same wanted you to rate how significant your life would be impacted on a scale of 1-100 if that event happened to you.
No, it wasn't a repeat. I thought it was and I skipped it. But then I went back and read the instructions and it was indeed different.
To be brutally honest, I can't care less about Amazon's TOS. I am here for the same reason we all are -- to make as much money as I can in the time I put in. And if the payment is guaranteed i'm going to go for it, even if it means indirectly "supporting" requesters that aren't following the rules. Amazon's long-term well being is less important to me than my immediate short-term benefits from these earnings. But I totally understand you're point of view, it's all lovingly
ok, i'll email them and see if I can retake it! lol hopefully they will let me. I'll say how the instructions were a bit confusing.
granit is right. I just logged in to see and it was all gone. (which is kind of dumb because they want you to come back in 3 months to retake it, so they should at least keep your demographic information filled out geeez "aint no body got time for that") anyway if they dont let me retake it then oh well i guess. 20 freakin minutes i'll never get back though and $3 that won't be in my wallet and they have my email since i signed up for an account if they say no I should say "then cancel my account on yall's site" lol
I get yours as well and understand why you (and others) are eager to make that fast 5 bucks. My point is that if the guy put 20 of those HITs up right now and decided to reject every single one without paying anybody a dime, not a single person who submitted that HIT would have a leg to stand on as far as the rejection goes and no complaint about it could possibly be taken seriously. My concern isn't with Amazon's well-being, it's with ours, as workers. In addition, if you accept a HIT from a requester breaking the TOS and that requester has their account banned after being reported, you won't get paid. If the HIT is taken down due to being reported, you won't get paid. I'm not entirely sure what type of risk us workers take if we accept and perform HITs that are removed for being against the TOS but personally, I'm not wanting to direct Amazon's great gaze in my direction at all and risk having my account suspended. I've had my account for over 4 years and I'd like to keep it for awhile longer.
