I love Roseanne. They weren't rich, they struggled, their kids weren't perfect, and all their problems weren't solved within a half hour, but it was still funny as hell. They were easy to relate to......until the last season when she imagined they won the lottery.
what's funny (to me) is that my second favorite sitcom was married with children, which takes the same starting point, working class midwest american family, and goes in totally the other direction...
oh and roseanne also gets crazy points from me because i think jackie is one of the best characters ever. laurie metcalf was freakin awesome in that show... EDIT: hit reply instead of edit, oh well.
Must not be any good hits up if we're all sitting here BSing about tv shows. lol ps. Sorry for the thread derail... Also, someone neg repped me for hating seinfeld. LOL!
I love that one too. I used to watch it with my dad when I was like 8, which when I think back now was probably bad parenting cause it's soooo not a kids show lol, but most of it went over my head anyway
depending on when you were born there really were no "kid shows" even Nicktoons were full of innuendo

i was a bit older when i watched it... my first sitcom was reruns of the jeffersons, i always wanted to have my own george jefferson dry cleaners when i was little... ugh now i just feel old.
That's so true, even now when I watch TV with my kids and we're watching something that I think is "family" oriented, something "inappropriate" gets said and I look at my daughters and wonder if they get it and how many questions are coming my way
When I was younger I LOVED Nick at Nite and back then it was all old shows like Mary Tyler Moore and All in the Family and Welcome Back Kotter. I love all those old shows. Now Nick at Nite is Everybody Loves Raymond, which is a great show, but it makes me feel old that this is now old TV
Anybody remember what hit this was for reetings from Amazon Mechanical Turk, You've received a bonus from Mina Cikara for work related to 2XBP9RA7S5WMWAVT98675JMIZV5YTM. The value of your bonus is: $1.00 USD The Requester included this note: Thank you very much for your participation! Here is your $1 bonus as promised. Thanks for being a Worker on Mechanical Turk!
That's because everyone else probably wasn't "participating" (read: forced to post many HITs, good HITs, and nothing but the best HITs all day every day) enough... and eventually got booted from the site.
I did the same one, was earlier today. Was called "Problem-solving challenge." I think it had to do with teams. Eagles and Pythons or something?
