    Hey, folks,

Got a mild burn from a requester with good TO (from one review); I'll post to TO about it.

Anyway, when I looked more carefully at the TO, that single review was written by a person who had ONLY reviewed this requester---they'd never written any others.

Noticing crap like that (requesters being able to game TO by writing themselves a review) just now allowed me to avoid working for another new requester, who also has only one review, by a person who has only ever written that single review.

This does not mean that every requester with only 1 review is a scammer. But beware funny coincidences. Remember that scammy requesters who are new can look like they have great TO from just writing themselves a review---if it's the only one there, it still gives them that beautiful all-green glow. So don't take the TO as a guarantee. Click on reviewer's names to observe their other reviews on TO.

And please, please review requesters yourselves on TO so that we'll all have more to go on.:)

Great post. I know I am the only review on a few requesters.. but at the end of the week I like to review everyone I have worked for just so others can see :)

    Thanks, footballchick. :)

Exactly. You're their only review, but when someone clicks on your name, it'll be obvious that you've written reviews over a period of time, and for a variety of requesters. Very different from the situation where a requester has one review, written by one reviewer, who just happens to have written their only review ever on the same day that that requester showed up!

Maybe someone will come up with a HIT where people give them fake good TO reviews. I won't do it for less than $5. :D

Unless their are more than a few reviews I don't trust them. <5 is the same as 0 to me for that very reason.

If I were a scam requester, I wouldn't give myself a perfect score. I'd say that the payment amount wasn't ideal or that it took a few days to get the payment. Just give the idea that I wouldn't reject people.

That would make you a more sophisticated scammer than most. ;) Although it might defeat your purpose, since the only review would give you less than perfect green, and sometimes that's all workers look at.
