I haven't done any previous HITs for them. I am working on one now. The audio is hosted on SoundCloud. Downloads are available as WAV files of about 20 MB. Recording quality is not perfect. Some speakers are harder to hear than others. You may want to apply some amplification, and possibly some hiss or noise reduction, in your audio software. Be sure to follow the HIT instructions.
Challenging HIT I did one of these hits yesterday. "Not perfect" doesn't do justice to the poor quality of the sound. The speakers are all on stage and it doesn't sound like all of them were miked properly, or they used poor microphone technique. The recording itself sounds like it was made from the audience and is of the PA audio. Finally, many of the participants are not practiced speakers, so there's lots of false starts and filler words used. If you use Audacity to post-process the file, you can use the compression filter and amplification to get somewhat audible audio, but it still has a lot of problems and will require several close listenings to understand what the speakers are saying. Admittedly, my transcription technique is poor, but it still took me something north of 45 minutes to transcribe a 2 minute clip (I stopped looking at the clock after that), and there were still several places where I simply could not make out what the speaker was saying. All that being said, if you like a challenge, this may be a good HIT for you.
