I'm not sure where your going with this? What country are you in? What time zone? I'm in America-Central time zone. During our daytime, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. at various times, there are numerous batches posted with thousands of hits available. I've seen them as high as 90,000 hits with one requester. I've seen groups of 20 people, just on this site, discussing one particular hit, and knocking them out together. That's just off of this website, not counting the many others. There's plenty of batch hits to go around. I myself turk long, long, hours thus me doing so many hits in a day. But if their available, I'm doing batches. In downtime, I touch the surveys. I put in about 17-18 hours a day on a minimum.

And football chick said it, all that matters is that your making money. Eventually as you go you will start coming with different strategies and techniques, and acquire more skills and qualifications; then you will start seeing more batch hits also. A lot of requesters have a minimum of 5,000, 10,000, etc. hits approved before you can work on theirs. So in the future you will also see more batch hits. I got about 130 people saved on my turk alert, that send me emails directly to my phone. And all 130, are solid, proved, and tested.

Maybe we do are not using "batch" to mean the same thing. To me, the batch hits are by a few requesters which put a bunch of hits up once a week if we are lucky, but more likely not. I consider Oscar to be a batch requester. Crowdsource probably would be, but since we are limited to the number we can do, I don't consider them batches.

My word!! That seems like an addiction, not a job. I guess I should be happy with some $15 days every now and then.

I appreciate the comments. Probably no need to continue this thread. I was hoping to average maybe $30 per day Monday through Friday, but I now see that would be out of my reach.

i have the same definition, except not the weekly part.. but yea i see it as a requester who has a bunch of hits up, either on the regular or just once

I just meant that we are lucky if we get a batch from anyone but Oscar more than once or twice a week.

I've just started this myself; I find that I prefer the surveys more than anything else, as they're easy to do and sometimes can be really, really interesting. I'm one of those people that love taking personality tests and the like, though, so for me surveys are a lot of fun.

I don't like batches (though CrowdSource isn't too awful) - it's just a lot of mind-numbing work. I know that I'll have to do quite a bit of those before I hit the magic 1000, though. I'm only at just under 150 and it'll take forever at this rate to get where I need to be. I don't tend to do more than 20 or 30 a day, however.

I'm the complete opposite. I love batch hits, but can't stand CrowdSource's. Their not difficult at all, it's just their mind numbing. If you don't mind it go for it. I see that your new, if your available during the day, check for some prospect smarter, Pac it, Two Lakes, Angela, Dolores, Michael Sullvian, or someone during the day. I'm not sure what time zone you guys are. But United States Central Time 8:00am - 5 p.m., there's batch hits posted all throughout the day from different people.

Actually, fewer than 300K HITs arrive on most days, with Saturday and Sunday being the least busy days.

check October 2012 for yourselves: http://mturk-tracker.com/arrivals/arrivals/?date_from=10/04/2012&date_to=11/04/2012

But I doubt the cap on HITs is out of consideration for the 10s of thousand of other Turkers.
