I'm at 315. Once my 10 day "100 HIT limit" goes away I will be hammering at some oscar smith. I try not to do too many just in case something like those 1.50s from earlier come along at night rather than in the morning. I put in a bunch of OS right before the day switch over to hit the daily limit
My suggestion is keep checking new hits and the great hits thread till you luckily come across a couple $0.01 hits from a good TO requester that takes a few seconds too do and there are a few thousand.
I know this might not be very helpful, but my best suggestion is to just not worry about it. Take quick batches when they pop up (within reason, don't go getting mass rejected) and just keep on trucking without looking back. You'll be there before you know it.
I got mine up huge yesterday from doing Image Sourcing (writing down license plates) and Two lakes (seeing if a tv show or musician comes up in a piece of text). That put me up by about 350
For the Rubin ones... There were many classes that the instructors were listed as "staff" or "tba".. to which I just explained that in the comments and left the rest blank.. hope that is okay.
Much appreciated, anything the pros have to say I welcome. Following this thread for a solid week now as well as HWTF and just keeping an open HIT search window to refresh constantly has helped a ton, but since I don't have much time during the day I'm still looking for good batches to do for the night crowd. I got *very lucky* and was able to push out 70 of the "Technology" e-mail HIT's from the other day, but I'm sitting here regretting missing the Image Sourcing and Two Lakes, among others I'm sure.
In California it's a little after 3am and I took a break to catch up on a few TV shows. So how are you ahead 27.74 for the day? Did I miss a good batch? Yes, I'm asking about your money made...kick myself in the butt, or foot in the mouth for the previous post in yesterday's thread. Times change, adapt. That's how the best survive.
Not to intrude, but I was only able to do 5 of those. I'm guessing the trick to getting the most out of those is to look at the timer and just accept a ton all at once (racing?), versus what I've been doing which is one at a time,... or what is it most people do?
I grabbed a bunch and figured them out later, but only because I also kept in mind naisy's 8 minute estimate. With a 2 hour timer, it was a pretty safe choice. Now let's hope none get rejected!
Speaking of rejected.... Who else here was able to do the EVANGELOS KALOGERAKIS 3D Shapes from Saturday, and what were common ones you put? Mine still haven't approved, starting to worry a bit about mass rejection.
sigh... this rubin hit isnt submitting. It keeps saying it's still assigned to me everytime I try to submit. I've retried like 3 times already and have to keep retyping the info in. its going to expire on me nooooooooooooooo!!!
Yeah, I've noticed that's the only way..it's to horde all the Hits and hope you can complete them at the appropriate time.
It's 6 am here, but our day starts at your midnight on mTurk. There was a really good batch that we did quickly. If a hit has a reasonable about of time on the timer, after I do one and know how long it will take me, I accept a lot of them. As many as I think I can do in the time provided. I grabbed 13? I think. I should have grabbed more, but it was a small batch and I shared it, so I think it would have been rude to accept them allll. Sometimes, you just have to be greedy. Just the way it is with mTurk. It's not like a normal job that if you stop and go to the bathroom, you're still making money. If you're not actively turking, you're not making anything. The key to making money (in my opinion) is to always be working on something. Just what I did! At the end there, I was doing them in like 5 minutes. Open all the tabs at once and say to myself P, U, A, etc. lol Worked out pretty good for me!
For what it's worth, I haven't done these specific ones, but I did a handful he had up about 2 weeks ago where you classified a 3D model. They took a few days to approve, but he seems like a pretty fair requester.
