I see what you are saying and I get it- to a point. I guess if that's the way the HITS get listed then I'll be out since I'm pretty new with less than 1000 HITS so far, even though I have zero interest in scamming anyone and just want to do good work in exchange for decent pay..
This is exactly why I was hesitant to use the "No information found" button, and found myself clicking the links before accepting the hits to see if I was going to find it rather than accepting and returning a hit and raising my return rate. However, now it seems we may have issues with the fact that the system shows we didn't take much time on the hits. Most of my work was done prior to me ever accepting the hits, and I do hope this is taken into consideration.
I have 1000 so I would qualify if that was the amount but more important, I take this job very seriously. I put a lot of effort into doing a really good job. I'm doing this to help pay for health insurance. I have a vested interest in doing good work and advancing.
If you have 1000, you'd be booted along with the rest of us newer ppl since they are talking 10k- just sayin
I think 200,000 is a good number as I dont have 3 yet. Come on are we really going to play that game?
The forum is deviating from the subject. Now its a fight between newbies and oldies. In my view, as long as the requester is getting the quality work, no one should complain about qualifications. I think some of the senior ones won't like the bus to stop any where after their boarding of the bus. I have done around 50000 hits and have 98% accuracy. So any qualifications won't matter to me. Still I feel accuracy should be given more importance, not the number of hits.
I'm not going to police the comments on this thread because they seem mostly to be petty arguments looking out for ones own interest. The only thing a requester cares about, again, is if the data is returned correctly and in a timely matter. I couldn't care less if you've done 100,000 or 1,000 HITs, if you can do mine in a quality way you are a trusted worker to me. All of this being said the only thing I will do different for my next batch is require 98% accuracy and also for the worker to have a Qualification that I give out by hand (so that I can control who works [and doesn't work] on my HITs). I looked over all the data and it seems most everyone was honest and returned work I can accept. I am now approving all of the HITs that should be, and will be working on the data for the next day or two before I returk a batch (I will also be setting up the qualification that I will hand out). Thank you all again for getting me this data quick, I really appreciate it.
Actually, I was n't aware of spamming. If some one misuses the none of the options, it is a grave mistake. The system will throw them away. If all the hits are 100000 n 99 accuracy , then the system won't last either too. Then those hits will take months to complete and there no business sense for that too. There are enough for every one in Mturk. For those having 80 to 90 and 90 to 100% accuracy. If all hits are of 100000 n 99% accuracy, I won't be here this long. So it is the decision of the requester to fix his qualification after seeing all the results. There are some requesters still there who fixes all qualified options n still surviving in Mturk. I think Mturk is a time tested one. It has produced brilliant stuff like you and mtn, at the same time discarded many garbage. Still it is going good.
Everything is paid out. If you were hesitant about trusting me as a new requester before hopefully that helps. Thanks again, I'll be back in 24-48 hours with a new batch, until then I'm diving in to the data.
Very heartening to hear that you got good returns for the money you spend in Mturk. Great timely response and speedy payment. Thank you.
Thanks, it was a pleasure working on your HITs. It makes it much less stressful when the workers and requester have such an open line of communication like this.
FYI - troll has been terminated... I'm so sorry about that. I spent yesterday with the kids... Let's hope Dustin stays with us and I appreciate all the PMs and emails about the "trolls" Rob
I never had any doubt. Thanks again for the hits. And Don't worry about any bitching from turkers. Some people are never happy. Thanks again.
Wow what hubris to say newer people have no business working for real requestors. lmao. You're full of shit.
I didn't either. The fact that Dustin answered my email (before he came to this Forum) about a question I had made me think he was a good requester to work for.
