I figured I would start a thread for the next time the hits come up. I received an email back from him.

    Hey all

    Hey everyone!

I'm working with Andrew Carman on these turks, and I'm going to be managing the ones coming up.

First off, thanks for all the feedback from everyone. Our next run will have clearer instructions for all of you.

On the next run, I'll be active on the boards so that I can answer questions here as they come up.

    New Batch Instructions

    Hey all,

I'm about to post a new batch with the following instructions. I'd love to get your feedback before these go out to see if anyone has any questions that could help make the instructions more useful for everyone.

Determine if the meal image matches the meal description.
    1. A meal can be loosely defined as food, drink, or a combination of both.
    2. Answers may vary from person to person due to the subjectivity of this task, and this has been taken into account.
    3. If the image is not an image of a meal, answer "The description DOES NOT match the meal image."
    4. If the meal image or description is unclear or excessively vague, answer "The description DOES NOT match the meal image." For example, a description of "sandwich" with an image of a turkey sandwich would be a match. However, a description of "bread and meat" with an image of a turkey sandwich would not be a match.
    5. If the meal image contains fewer items than listed in the description, answer "The description DOES NOT match the meal image."
    6. If the meal image contains more items than listed in the description, answer "The description is ONE OF A FEW things in the meal image."
    7. If the meal image contains small items near or around the meal, such as forks, spoons, napkins, or and knives, answer "The description is ONE OF A FEW things in the meal image."
    8. If the meal image contains larger objects, like laptops, books, TV, or people, answer "The description DOES NOT match the meal image." For example, a picture in which a completely-visible person is holding a Coca-Cola can with a description of "Coke"" would not be considered a match. However, if there is a description of "Coke" with an image of a Coca-Cola can that takes up most of the image, but there is an edge of a laptop visible in the image, the image would be considered a match.
    9. If the meal image is a cup, wrapper, box, or any other type of container that is traditionally associated with the meal, the meal is considered a match. For example, a description of "Corn Flakes Cereal" with an image showing a cereal box labeled as "Corn Flakes" would be considered a match. A description of "Coffee" with an image showing cup that is traditionally associated with coffee would be considered a match.
    10. Any information regarding portions or size of the meal in the description must be disregarded when considering if the meal image matches the meal description. For example, a description of "2 slices of pizza" with an image of a whole pizza would be considered a match. A description of "a whole pizza" with an image of two (2) slices of pizza would be considered a match.

Example: bowl of cereal.....could this be considered Breakfast?
    Have been putting no.

You're correct - that would not be a match.

Thank you for the extra directions!

Just for clarification, when there is, say, a plate of chinese food and the description is the name of a restaurant, that is a no, correct?

I got one that says "snack time" and there's a picture of a hand holding a banana and a cup of water next to it with a calculator in the background. I'm confused as to what people consider snack, or if it is, then is it one of the few things in the image since there's a hand and calculator?

You are correct - that would not be a match.

That would definitely fall under the vague rule, and it would not be a match!

Thanks! I'm new to this and it's challenging because it's subjective.

I am having one here and there that there is no image. Is it not loading or just no picture to load? May be 2 on the same page, but not the whole page.
