Your Amazon Payments account has been suspended

    I get this message whenever I try to complete a hit. :mad::mad:

    Your Amazon Payments account has been suspended

    You will not be able to use Amazon Mechanical Turk until your Amazon Payments account is in good standing. If you believe this suspension is an error, please contact Amazon Payments Customer Service to resolve this problem.


    I had absolutely no idea that turkers have to fax Amazon payments their ID and utility bill to verify themselves. Maybe it's cause I joined mturk in 2012. Anyways, I did it last night now I just emailed them telling them I faxed it. I've searched around this forum, some people say Amazon payments made them jump through hoops for weeks to get their account reinstated. Hopefully this is quick and painless for me.

    I also got this email from Amazon Payments Verification:

    UPDATE: After 3 days of being suspended on Amazon Payments and not being able to accept any hits on mturk my account has been reinstated.

    I got this message from Amazon Payments :

    My suggestion to anyone dealing with this in the future, is to annoy the crap out of 'em. After you send your fax in call them & email them everyday until the issue is resolved. Also send your documents to both of their fax numbers 1-800-887-0540 & 1-206-765-3424. If you can't get hold of a fax machine use faxzero.com, That helped me out a lot.
