I don't understand why I'm not qualified - can you be overqualified for something - even at my lowly level?

    Qualifications Required: Your Value
Total approved HITs is 500 1075 You do not meet this qualification requirement
HIT approval rate (%) is not less than 95 99 You meet this qualification requirement
Location is US US You meet this qualification requirement

It is a hit by Jeff Binder, looks like he's new, no TO - does that mean it's just a mistake?

    And another one

HIT approval rate (%) is not less than 95 99 You meet this qualification requirement
Location is US US You meet this qualification requirement
Total approved HITs is less than 50 1075 You do not meet this qualification requirement

Am I just reading these wrongly?

This one the total approved hits has to be less than 50 (I am sure an error on the requesters part?)

the other one maybe accidently put you have to have exactly 500 hits? wtf. lol. I dunno. Odd.

Weird, it says the same thing for me:
"This HIT requires that your Total approved HITs Qualification have a value that meets the requirement "is 500". This Qualification represents an aspect of your account status or history. You can improve some Qualifications, such as HIT submission rate and HIT approval rate, by successfully completing other HITs. "

I have 4500 approved HITs too. If you want to work for him, I would suggest messaging him and asking him why it won't let you. It could be a glitch on his end or Mturk's end, not sure. Maybe because it says "Total approved HITs qualifications" it means you have to have 500 qualifications, could that be it? That would just be crazy...lol

I've found three like this so far all looked like good hits. It's hard enough to find decent ones never mind being shut out for no reason.

I assume they'll eventually figure this out when they don't get any workers.

BTW I think those are all different requesters.

At least I know I'm not cracking up from going through these hits for so long...........

What emerefer said actually makes a lot of sense. Only people with the exact number can do it, so we can't. If it's good enough, just message them! I'm sure the requester would be happy to know why they aren't getting any workers, and maybe they'll give you a bonus for being helpful, who knows?

The only problem with that is there is no 'Contact the Requester' link - I assume because
    I'm not qualified!

Ugh, you're right. They really need a better way to get in contact with requesters. I checked the survey for his HIT, he doesn't even offer an email either. :/

If he's got no TO and is this confused, you might be better off just skipping him.

I don't understand why any requesters have qualifications before they have tested the work force. If I posted hits, I would pay a moderately good rate, only post a limited number of hits as a trial and ask that each worker only do a certain number of those hits. After I reviewed results, I would then go back and assign a Qual that covered the best workers and excluded the worst before posting the remaining hits. I would increase the pay and allow workers to do as many as they wanted to--no rejections. Nobody knows how to be a boss anymore!
And another thing: What's with requesters who pay .01 per hit even having a qual or being allowed to reject work? Ridiculous!

Amazon took the ability to contact requesters you are not qualified for a couple weeks ago. I believe they did this because, there were a lot of us contacting the newer requesters and asking them to switch from masters, which Amazon makes a premium on.
