Hi i am Vinay. I have been working in Mturk for years. I am an Indian and have received payment without fail for the past years. I have masters qualification in mturk. Recently I withdrew 347$ and didn't receive the payment. Usually they send me the confirmation email of the cheque within 3 days which I received after 10 days. I receive the cheque within two weeks usually. Now its been almost 5 weeks I haven't received the payment. I have complained in the customer care but they have not responded yet. My account is still active( I mean its not suspended). What should I do because the customer care is not responding. All I receive is a computer generated email which I receive after the submission of the complaint. The confirmation email is as shown below: Greetings from Amazon Mechanical Turk, You are receiving this e-mail because you have withdrawn U.S. Dollar earnings from your Amazon Mechanical Turk account. These earnings you withdrew have been converted into Indian Rupees at the following rate: You withdrew: US$ 343.00. The exchange rate applied was: INR null per US Dollar The amount you will receive via cheque is: INR Rs 20295.86 You will receive your funds via a bank cheque. It should arrive in approximately 6 weeks. PLEASE HELP BY RESPONDING TO MY THREAD. THANK YOU
You said it has been almost 5 weeks, and the bottom line of the attached message says "It should arrive in approximately 6 weeks. " Seems like perhaps it is still coming. I am new, and don't know much, but that is my guess.
Hi Vinay, It is nice to hear an Indian with Masters Qualification. Regarding your cheque, nowadays there seems to be some problem in receiving conversion mail and many turkers received the cheque even before getting the conversion mail. So wait for one more week and after 6 weeks, better request for re-issue of cheque. One more thing is don't tell your mturk worker ID in open forums. It is better you edit and remove your ID.
