I am looking to compile a list of mturk resources for a potential "resources" button on the forum navigation menu. Which sites relating to mturk have you found most beneficial? Please list them. Yes, it is OK to mention other forums.

Note: Not all suggestions will be included... must really provide value to the turker.

    http://turkrequesters.blogspot.com/

This is the best blog I've seen relating to mTurk. Although the name of that blog suggest it's for requesters, this is one big resource to workers as well.

I'm not too sure how you feel about it. It's a collection of HITs, not unlike the "Can't Find Good HITs" thread, but it's all about the HITs themselves, not discussing the HITs.

I like reddit.com/r/mturk too! There is a lot of fluff, but some really good discussion sometimes too!

I think 2muchTurkin's guides over at his site are good ones: mturk-guide.com

And I agree with TurkOpticon and FRB's blog (turkrequesters.blogspot.com).

I feel like there are a lot of complaints about TurkAlert and I personally find it doesn't consistently go off, even for requesters whose HITs don't go fast. Then again, it's the only service of its kind.

I don't think MTurk Tracker is that useful, because it doesn't link directly to HITs. It's useful for datamining, but I think most Turkers aren't as interested in that regularly.

Maybe NatureGirl's site could go in there. I don't know if you are looking for general sites or more specific. If you are going specific, it works perfectly for transcription.

Adding a link to transcriptress.com would be very valuable for people who transcribe. I am moving my site very soon to the hosting andy provided for me and scaling it back to a guide only site with the forum most likely being removed. It really doesn't get much traffic anyhow but the guides do. That way I can concentrate on making more guides to help people out.

You could always put CMB on there as well.

Yeah, CMB's interesting. They're very small, but it feels cozy over there. Their forum doesn't work for me because of their specific expectations about how frequently you must post to maintain an unrestricted membership...and as most probably know, I answer questions but don't usually start threads.

So with them having significantly lower traffic (= many fewer threads to respond to), I was kinda stumped as to how to get to their minimums in a way that was comfortable to me.

But that's just my style, and they do have requesters visiting there, I hear. That makes them more interesting, plus they're probably still more accessible than TN.

Speaking of which...are we willing to put TN? I'm curious to see what the decision will be about that---I have no opinion either way!

(BTW, thanks, cowfin and 2much, for the kind words about my site!)
