I'll let them keep their nothing. Because nothing is what they are getting. Since there was no code and the survey itself never asked for my ID... they have no way of associating my survey data with me. Thus no way of knowing who passed the screener...
Actually in the Mturk page, the instructions did say to put worker ID in the box even though the box is asking for the code. Didn't see that part until after I put in the ID but yeah I agree with you, there's no way to match the survey to the worker. In other news, there's a storm going on and I've lost power temporarily. Seems like there's a storm everyday around here. Seeker needs to keep his storms in his area.
Yep, I saw that about entering the ID instead of a code. But the survey itself never asked for it. So all they know is that *someone* has my employment status. But not who. And they know I answered the survey, but not which box I checked. So who do they qualify for the full survey? Oh well. I think the prescreening thing is often a psychological ploy. They hope people will be happy to be Chosen to do the full survey that they'll do it despite the pay.
I edited my post right before you posted realizing what you meant. Yeah there's no way to match up the survey to the workers. He's kinda new so he probably didn't think things through. He'll realize it after he's done. Maybe he'll put up another one fixed. Good point. No pay screener probably gets a low paying survey.

You mean to tell me that by accepting a HIT I'm not also giving the requester my ID? I thought that was how Oscar Smith used to acquire people's ID and block them when they would accept and return a HIT to complete a capcha. He was notorious for disliking that and would block people who had never submitted a single HIT. Isn't the ID captured and added to the tail end of the link?.....of course I actually don't have any idea what I'm saying anyway..
Correct except the survey itself, (inside the survey) didn't ask us for our worker ID so he can't match our worker ID with the Mturk submission page that captures our ID. Hope this makes sense. Yes I remember hearing about Oscar blocking people for using his HIT for captchas. Funny how we have a different requester named Smith Oscar now.
