No, but there was a dispute over a hunting lease and a shouting match in the local redneck bar. My mom was super proud.
Hey guys, it's my second day on mturk and I had a question. There have been several times so far where I've accept a HIT for a survey, filled out half of it, then it tells me that I am not qualified (because of how I answered the questions i assume) and then I have to return the hit - which sucks because i can only do 100 a day for now, plus i have lost out on close to $12 today alone on these surveys and have wasted quite a bit of time too. Is this a normal thing?
Welcome to the forum! Yes that's normal. We return plenty of HITs due to being screened out, not liking it, or maybe it's too long for the pay. For now you should concentrate on building your numbers. Install Turkopticon if you haven't already.
I need HELP :upset: I deleted my cache and cookies. Now my HIT Database is gone. It's totally empty, there is are no HITs. When I reopen MTurk window I get this popup message: www.mturk.com says This will delete all hits done from your DB from 2017-06-04 through 2017-07-14 I press cancel. If anybody can tell me what happened and how do I get HIT DB back, I would greatly appreciate.
I heard about making backup copies of it before doing anything. I don't use HIT Database so I can't help you on that. Hope you can get your HIT DB back somehow.
If this is real then i win at life. I have deleted cookies before and nothing happened to my database. Didn't think of doing a backup. :stupid: What do you use to keep track of all the HITs?
If you did not make a backup then it is gone. You could try using restore on your computer and restore it to any day before today, but I am pretty sure that it wont bring it back. You essentially deleted it by clearing the cache and cookies. You also deleted your settings and lists for Hitscraper if you use that.
I use Google spreadsheet. This was before HIT Database was created so I decided to just keep on using it. I copy and paste what's in my dashboard onto spreadsheet. I check it if I think I've done it before or not which isn't too often these days because many requesters are using quals to screen out previous workers. If I remember, I also will put down what bonuses I'm due. Most of the time I'm lazy though.
Thanks! I have TO installed. I am working on building up my numbers, but i was doing some decent paying quick surveys here and there and was frustrated when I was basically doing a demographic screening for 5 minutes before it alerted me than I'm not eligible for that survey, lol.
Thank you. Everything else looks just fine, but the database is gone. I have MTS and all the HITs are still in the HIT catcher. Panda Crazy is running too. I found a some files called C:\users\myname\AppData\Local\google\Chrome\UserData\Default\IndexedDB. Could that be the Database? I don't want to try to restore anything before I know what I'm doing.
