What is this? Spoiler I am Tjbot! I'm a solution devised by the genious mods to prevent there ever being a day that hit threads aren't posted! The whole point of my existence is to post a hit thread if one doesn't exist by 12:08am PST. If you see this post, assume that this one is the main post. One of the mod team will clean up existing posts and consolidate once they wake up and get online. As my name indicates, I am a bot. I don't post, nor do I respond to PM's. If you have any problems, send an email to tjbot@ns4t.net or PM Tjololo, he can help out with any issues. Want to make tomorrow's thread? Click here to find out how!
PandA from one posted this morning: https://www.mturk.com/mturk/previewandaccept?groupId=3VTCTNDILAZD7JWB566ZXUOYR5YTGZ Last night: Title: Events in Tweets -- Find Tweets that refer to an Event | PANDA Worker: Preview | Accept | Requester Requester: david a bodoff [A20FY9ZVMIT7BW] (Contact) TO 1: [Pay: 2.79] [Fast: 2.85] [Comm: 1.57] [Fair: 2.79] [Reviews: 23] [ToS: 6] TO 2: Not Available Description: Your job is to look through a series of tweets, and mark any ones that are related to an `event`. An `event` is a real-world occurrence that happened at a particular place and time. We are looking for tweets that relate to a specific event. There are not too many of these, but we wish to find them. Possible examples are when the tweet says that: someone won an award, or an election; someone died or won/lost a court case or a game; something happened at a live concern; a storm hits a certain place; and so on. The tweet could be reporting the event, or reacting to it or discussing it. The tweet does not have to be an exclusive report; it could cite a source such as a URL. But it does *not* include tweets that comment on someone else`s tweet or Facebook post. It has to be commenting on a real-world event. And we are also not interested in ads or headlines that were obviously tweeted by bots. You are paid a guaranteed flat fee, plus a bonus of up to $15 that depends on the number of events you correctly (vs incorrectly) identify. Time: 1 hour HITs Available: 3 Reward: $13.00 Qualifications: None; Title: Tweet Events May 31 A | PANDA Worker: Preview | Accept | Requester Requester: david a bodoff [A20FY9ZVMIT7BW] (Contact) TO 1: [Pay: 2.79] [Fast: 2.85] [Comm: 1.57] [Fair: 2.79] [Reviews: 23] [ToS: 6] TO 2: Not Available Description: Your job is to look through a series of tweets, and mark any ones that are related to an `event`. That really sucks. Does it work in other browsers? Just tried Firefox and the yucky IE. Nope. They're going down...
Does it submit regardless? I'm afraid to try to submit one so I just returned it. I recall there was a batch just like that from a different requester with that same issue and it turns out the responses did register on their end but not ours so people were submitting it that way. I'm not risking it.
