I read the Terms of Service again and I cannot find any provision that allows for Amazon to confiscate a worker's payment account except perhaps for criminal offences or causing damages. It does allow for suspending accounts almost at Amazon's whim, but not for confiscating them. Having said that I suspect what will happen is the account will remain for suspended for an indefinite period and once the pending HITs are approved, they will review the account and make a decision. Hopefully the decision will be to re-activate. But they have no cause to keep the funds earned by the worker and I can't imagine they would do that except in the most extreme circumstances where some illegal activity is suspected.
Thanks for your detailed specification.I noticed that some of my pending HITs got approved and earning gained like before.
