Note for next time there's a batch: Use the "andaccept" and refresh trick to fill up your queue when the batch starts to go away, because that's what lots of other people are doing. And now I explain the trick: This is a regular URL for a HIT group: https://www.mturk.com/mturk/preview?groupId=25MSIHPCGJ2DZ8RGP6OH4JPVUM2289 This is an auto-accept URL for that same group: https://www.mturk.com/mturk/previewandaccept?groupId=25MSIHPCGJ2DZ8RGP6OH4JPVUM2289 See the difference? The second link will, when refreshed, automagically accept a HIT from that group. What you do is, you get the auto-accept link, put it in your address bar, and refresh like crazy (watching out for captchas) until your queue is full (25 is the limit). Then go click on your "HITs Assigned To You" link and work through the queue. You're welcome!
Its against mturk tos your account will suspend forever if they caught Its against mturk tos your account will suspend forever if they caught does any one doing this trick is this safe
If you have 5000 plus hits, Zing is a perfect requester to use this method. Here is the link if you dont have the qual: https://www.mturk.com/mturk/preview...ter=Zing&hitId=2WBUNU8LZ6R77I91FB48R3VES174KC If you already have the qual: https://www.mturk.com/mturk/previewandaccept?groupId=2E3PVP3TVOK51HNF71YQMOZJ2QX14V You can easily get 200- 700 a day with the qual depending how much time you are on. A word of warning, you need to watch your browser because if you forget this is running in C4C you can easily run up 35 abandoned hits because it will run until it hits a captcha and then it runs on and on.
..You can't get banned for pressing f5, why would they even make it possible for you to have 30 HITS at a time if that were true? I've been doing this for a couple years now though, great trick. Ir's only against the ToS if you're using a script.
I tried this, and it didn't do anything but submit the HIT that wasn't even done. Not sure what I did wrong. Edit: Maybe it did work. I only thought it messed up because it said the HIT was submitted. I checked again and it wasn't there. Then another was added to abandoned because I didn't know I really accepted it. I feel really silly now. Great tip.
but its against to tos. first try it yourself. accepting more than 10(I'm not sure about number) is against to mturk TOS.
I've been doing it continuously since I read this post and no problems so far as long as you stay below the 25 HIT limit in your queue. It just won't let you accept any more after that.
Update: This is PandA Since I wrote this a year and a half ago, this trick has become known as PandA (for Preview and Accept), and turkers have found new ways to automate it, by installing an extension like Check4Change (Firefox) or Easy Auto Refresh and then automatically refreshing the PandA link in the hopes of catching a fast moving HIT, or to fill your queue of a depleting batch while you work from queue, for example. There have been scripts written to automatically change any link to a HIT into a PandA link, to save you the extra clicks. Tools like TurkAssist, HIT Scraper, or TurkMaster have all built in automatic PandA. Truly, it's the most-loved tool in the seasoned turkers toolkit.
