Flora, you know I love you but don't you think someone should tell Nanaki that he really ISN'T the boss of making the daily thread? I was here before he was and he just appropriated the task. The thread always got made in a timely fashion, long before he came here.

Nanaki never really claimed to be or anything like that. He just comes in, asks, makes the thread (or posts in it if someone else does), and leaves. He does that with all the forums (minus TN I think). Honestly, things always ran very smoothly with the thread creation until very recently. I've only been here since 2014, but I've neeeever seen arguing over the thread like this before.

I really don't think the issue is Nanaki at all. Fox just needs to calm himself down a bit.

 

Well, he did say "I was assigned to start threads for one reason or another". That makes it pretty clear that he thinks it's his job. I'm pretty sure that neither Andy nor Cowfin assigned that task to him. I don't understand why anyone has to get his permission to start a thread. But, I'm done. Sorry I said anything!

Wait no no you're right. I've been informed that this goes waaay deeper than what I've seen happen in the regular daily threads, lol. I'm so out of the loop on this. You're probably right. I'm just reporting what I've seen during the thread changeovers. That used to run fairly smoothly until just recently.
