I told my brother about Mechanical Turk over Christmas and he decided to sign up and give it a try. So far, he still hasn't gotten a response back from Amazon. I signed up back 2011 and got a pretty quick response back. I'm just wondering if maybe Amazon is a lot slower in approving people. Any newer Turkers, how long was it between you signing up and getting approved?
Yeah it takes some time. In example, my account took 3-4 days to be approved. Don't worry, they won't forget about you! Also if they reject you, they will send you an email stating why you were rejected.
