Before I consider this I need to know whether or not you are supplying the topics or are we straight up free writing about anything involving mturk?
No topics will be supplied, initially. I will be moving forward with this quite quickly in the coming weeks. This blog has the potential to have an extremely high amount of traffic. Still accepting interested participants interested in writing for $. If you have already reached out you should be expecting a followup email shortly.
Hey, I'd be interested! I'd really like to get some blogging "experience" for blogs with a purpose and not just Tumblr's and things I don't want to share. Gah, I wish I would have found mTurk sooner. Maybe that'll be a post of mine some day. Edit - Whoops! Didn't realize I wasn't on page 1 of this thread. I will have to go back through and actually pay attention to the original post.
I've been around a long time. I've developed an edge. I'm a business person-not turking for "fun" or out of boredom and I want to make money at it. I want Requesters to give us the respect we deserve and have earned in most cases. I want turkers to grow up, wake up or have an epiphany and realize that if we don't start governing ourselves for the greater good of the community at large; there won't BE a community because crowd tasking will no longer exist. I have my finger very well placed on the pulse of this industry. I do a LOT of research.
Final call for the first wave of people wanting to join the team. Emaill andy@furca.com subject: mturk union
I'd be happy to write from the standpoint of a new turker and the challenges we face trying to make a decent amount of money doing it. I don't have any prior writing experience but I'd do a couple of them just for fun, free, and no other reason than to help other new people out.
